There isn't an electrical forum up yet, so I placed this here.

Has anyone done this? I want to run power (outlet) inside the cab (maybe center console? to install a charger for my LED flashlight and am not sure of all the supplies, tools, or how to even do this.

You have to purchase a power inverter. Ties to battery terminals or you could get one that plugs into the cig lighter.

The Tacoma had a power inverter installed under the center console from factory on the TRD models.

Depends on what you want to power. If your thinking just a charger for your flashlight then you need less wattage. The $30 one will do.
If your thinking power tools or similar then higher wattage is needed and more money.

Brush guard, TRD exhaust, Hard tonneau cover , Toyota tube steps - was already on truck.
Being a former Tacoma owner, I came to know and love the inverter. I would also like to install one in the Tundra (as funding allows.)
The question I have is how much headroom the Tundra's systems have for additional power draw? I don't want to load it down too much, I also don't want to play it too safe and end up with far less than I should have for the given funds.
