A little of this and a little of that. Its pretty run of the mill.
Mine was more than 30k all in. I was guesstimating what a SUA LT set up would cost.

That’s actually an old pic. Those rims were 18x9+25 with a 37x13.5 tire. That’s easy to fit and doesn’t require glass. Here’s a pic with stock fenders on those. That offset is kind of the sweet spot. +25 on a 9”, or +18 on an 8.5” wide rim.

    F9FC0FA7-D745-411C-9D51-49EB620268C0.jpg

    They stuffed all the way

    BFC8C7F3-C2DC-4953-A128-441FB1F5CF85.jpg

What you saw at T2S is 17x8.5 0 offset (-5 effective offset after the beadlocks were welded on) with a 37x12.5 tire. Overall it’s an inch wider track on each side, so it necessitated the glass. It also requires the adjustable uppers and a healthy appetite for metal removal on the body mount.

I would suggest upgrading your rear suspension first, throwing a ton of money at LT up front and staying SOA in the rear is just going to set you up to be disappointed again with less money in your pocket and the rear suspension still being your limiting factor.

    @opitmus_tundra
A well dialed MT is great and can be a TON of fun with out breaking the bank (relatively speaking).

    .
    .
    .
    .
    .

    :anonymous:
    But on the DL:
I have the inside scoop on your shock setup... You happen to have the only shock configuration we have in our entire production line that can be converted from MT to LT relatively easily.
-Coilovers will need new shafts, rodends and springs to covert what have to the LT version
-Secondary shocks will need a new rodend and an internal spacer removed to be converted.
(so no need to buy all new shock, just service/convert the ones you have)

Not trying to bring you over to the Dark Side with the rest of us, but rather just sharing info about our product line. lol

I can help get you a parts list so you can get them on order. You can then get the parts needed to convert them when your ready if you are a DIY'er OR you can get get the parts through the service center you plan on using.

Hi Adrian. I have the IVD-58750C. Is this one of the models that can be converted to LT?

Damn you guys pay a shit load for installation haha, for under $20k you could run a MCM kit with 3.0 bypasses and run a trailing arm linked rear with 3.0 bypasses AND 3.0 coilovers and pull 16" up front and like 26+ in the back. Paying $10k on top of that to bolt the front on and throw some link mounts and brace the rear sounds like insanity to me, but to each their own.

If you can afford it, LT it. Apples to apples more travel is better.

Not sure what your point is, just stating facts. I referenced the highest travel kit I know of (MCM's @ 16") which is $8k on his website fully loaded. Then price out shocks from anyone and it's $6k or less for the fanciest 3.0 coilovers/bypasses for the rear, and maybe somehow you can spend $6k on some brackets and a truss and some tube and trailing arms. Again, seems insane to pay another $10k+ for some pretty simple fab work and bolting the front on.

You might be able to get some brackets and a truss and some tube and trailing arms and just mash them together correctly, but not many people understand things like anti squat or roll center or upper and lower link ratios to maintain pinion angle and shit like that. Let alone being capable of calculating the correct numbers to compensate for tire size vs link length (or choosing between a 3 and 4 link setup when the gas tank is in the way, but maybe we could use a fuel cell instead and relocate that...).
Basically, a lot of people have to pay for knowledge they either lack time or energy to gain. And I know my fab skills are for fuck all.

Sooo I decided on the rear and went with camburg! Such a sweet set up and have 15" travel with the bed still to spare. Still debating to drop another 15k on the front but that back is rad.

Yes, you will need new shafts, rodends, and coil springs, but it CAN be done.

I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure your not getting 15” of travel with the U748s. If you went spring under that’s a different story

Unless there is another Camburg kit for the tundra that I'm not aware of, it is SUA. The advertisement is 15 inch travel
