Hey guys new to the forum, first post on here will be doing a build thread soon, recently purchased a 2019 quicksand sr5 trd off road tundra. I have been reading throughout this forum for the past week looking for tire sizes and still have a couple questions. I plan on getting bilstein 5100s for the front for right now. Looking for the biggest tire I can run on that setup. So far what I’ve found is 275/70/18 seems to be pretty popular. What about 295/70/17? Per tire size calculator it seems to only be a bit wider than the 275/70/18? I know wheel offset will have something to do with it. Thanks guys.

275/70/18 or a 285/70/18 should work fine on the top setting which is around 2.5 inches. There is plenty of options in those sizes.

No problem at all @Quicksand20 . I have 295/70/18 on a 3 inch front lift and I rub a little on the front plastic when in reverse.

At 2.5” of lift on 295/70R18, buy a rim offset +18 or higher. At +18, you’ll still probably need to remove all 4 front mudflaps, and reposition the front fender forward to prevent rubbing (unbolt, push plastic forward, rebolt using newly drilled holes). That said, I’d go for 285’s for better mileage being a lighter tire.

Note stock offset is +60. As you go lower in number and into negatives, the tires stick out the side more.

I should add 5100’s at top setting might be a harsher ride than stock. Save up if you can for 6112’s.

I have 5100’s 2.5” setting front only. I have stock rims 285/55/20. But might purchase into some 18’s a friend is selling me. What’s the tallest we can go? Thanks y’all!
