Depends on charging stations, distance per charge towing max capacity, cost of charging stations, estimated time per charge.

4-500 miles between charges isn’t really bad, but it still wouldn’t work for most of my travels in an empty situation.

Probably, but not as far off as you’d think. Biggest benefit of putting electric motors in a truck is the insane torque. Like insane insane. And they aren’t restricted by trying to keep it light anymore if it’ll be in a full size truck. Pair that with regen braking and it’ll be tough to beat. I don’t see 300k tho maybe like <100k

yep bank account is running low from it..
For me I would.. piss everyone off who thinks that 600 hp in a pick up truck is cool till I show up and just blast you away.. electric motors are insane in torque ratings and instant power...

Now pending what type of motor battery combo they are using this thing could be killer combo truck .

I think that the idea of a full EV pickup truck is good. However, EV must first be proven out in the field. Many years ago when Honda came out with their uni-body Ridgeline, everyone said the same thing that it’s the new era of pickup trucks and the future of the industry. But, no other auto manufacturer followed Honda. The Ridgeline didn’t sell as they thought it would. And Honda finally gave in and got rid of the uni-body pickup truck design.

Since then, Ford has decided to go with an all aluminum body F150. It’s been more than 2 years ago and no one has followed Ford. My primary concern is that Teslas have been overheating and even catching fire whenever they are put to work. Pickup trucks are primarily made to work. So, how will that work out for Tesla pickup truck? I know that I would not want to be towing my boat or anything else and the truck catches fire because it can’t handle the demand.

    I’LL PASS!!!

Yup, that’s what I figured they were trying to say. There is no way a Tesla pickup can pull 300k pounds without the battery overheating and catching fire. :bananadead:

The big question is.... Can this "truck" go 0-60mph in 2-3 seconds? Cause that would be badass lol

I'd be curious to see how much range is left after towing a travel trailer up a steep grade for ten to twenty miles. I just don't see how the energy density of a battery pack could stand up under sustained towing. For me, that's a deal-breaker...

Nope, I cant say that I would.

It kind of looks like a future version of the Subaru Brat.
