Just a quick shot of the interior with some of the mods I added. Still working on the rest; always a work in progress.

Late but better than never. Here's a photo of my truck as it currently sits.

    Hello from New Mexico!

How did the installation of the Opt7 Sidekick go? I just bought a Tundra and purchased this also. Ready to install a little nervous though. Any additional advice would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hey, rwytundra!

Thanks for reaching out to me. I can provide photos later but I kind of cheated and didn't do a full installation of the LED strips.

Essentially, I attached the strip to the frame of the truck underneath. I cleaned the area using a cleaning agent, alcohol, and then adhesion promoter. I then used black polyurethane sealant to the 3M tape side to ensure complete adhesion stability. Be careful with the stuff as it sticks pretty well to whatever it touches, especially the skin, if you weren't aware already. Since I had the AMP Research running boards, I used one of the outgoing + and - leads that were provided for their own LEDs, which I didn't use. I never connected the turn signal lights since I wasn't sure what color wires I needed to tap into underneath the kick plate. I saw varying colors depending on the model year and trim and couldn't narrow anything down in my research. I've debated on trying to follow the wires from the tail lights but haven't really mustered up the motivation to add them. Besides, the gf isn't exactly sold on the idea of the whole side of the truck lighting up at night when I have my turn signal on... I kind of agree with her but there are times where I would think that would be useful for other drivers to be able to see it. Perfect example would be when there is a three-lane highway and I'm in the far right lane and there is a car in the far right lane and we both want the middle lane. I figure it would make it easier for them to understand my intentions.

If you'd like, I can still provide photos of the strip and where I placed them and how they look, if that would help in encouraging you to install? Just let me know. Personal opinion, they aren't as white as I would like but they do the job. I was expecting more of what my VLEDs show at around the 5500K.

Okay! I'm now part of the Southern Style Slimline bumper club. There are still some things I need to figure out as far as cabling goes but it looks to be about set on the install. I did have SSO and a couple of members here and on Facebook help me along the way. Overall, I'm pleased. Here's a before and after:

Another fight against non-LEDs on my truck.

One last look at her before the headlight change.

Since everyone's pretty much have seen what these look like normally, I'm just going to show you what mine look like at night when this is all you see.
