about 200-225lbs. skin is all 3/16. internal bracin is 1/8" and .120 wall round. 1/4" brackets that hit all the holes the stock hitch brackets hit. and the hitch is reinforced similar to an OE hitch.

uses the stock multi-function trailer harness plug and OE license plate lights.

With it hitting all the same brackets as the OE hitch, what is the load rating on this one?

We have not sent any bumpers or hitches in for sae j684 testing. As such we can't say is rated as this destructive testing is the method of reading a hitch to a "class".therefore it is they standard aftermarket "off road use only". We did build it with the oem rating in mind.

This would solve some mounting issues with my 2nd spare tire and a place to mount extra water storage. Hmmmmm lots of thinking needs to be done

@mac11 Does an oversize tire still fit under the truck with this bumper?

Should fit any tire that will fit with the factory hitch.

Does this extend factory hitch, or replace? I tow a travel trailer, and concerned if this will add a dangerous factor to my towing needs. How does camera relocation work? Do you provide wiring plug n play for it, or is it just a housing?

Holes can be drilled. or just dont use them. I hate the truck beeping at me.

I guess I don't know what you mean by extend your factory hitch? You remove the whole factory hitch/bumper setup.

Got it- some keep factory hitch. Is there any verification that the receiver is a Class II or III equivalents? I understand you view it as good as stock, but keeping it labeled off road use, while many of us tow, makes it hard to pull the trigger. Trust me, for your price and quality, I was ready to send funds, but safety outweighs the beautiful arrangement and usefulness of what this bumper accomplishes for me.

Do you have install instructions or video install to help show how this is mounted to frame and truck? This may help my decision as well.

Like I said, I can't call it "rated" without sending it out and having it rated. Anyone who calls an unrated hitch "rated" is begging for legal problems. I pull max rated loads of my tacoma with the tacoma bumper we built with a similar OE-like design, but it is an "off -road use only" part as we have not had any independent lab testing done to the J684 standards. That's as much as I can say about it. You're going to have to do the math on your own beyond that.

This is why most aftermarket bumpers just build onto the factory hitch instead of replace it and leave the factory hitch hanging out and down where it is giving shittly clearance and anglesno matter what they do with the rest of the asthetic design.

Anyone who calls an unrated hitch "rated" is begging for legal problems - and there are a LOT of aftermarket companies that use the word "rated" on their hitch without doing the proper testing. The swing outs unbolt. You will have the U-brackets that they bolt to still there. They are welded on. You should be able to mount at 37. This is the hinge we are using. It's the best we've found to date - all the smooth swinging action and high load capacity of a tapered roller bearing with none of the change of failure of a spindle failure.
