Take off parts?

what does everyone do with this stuff? There does not seem to be an aftermarket for any of this. I plan on keeping this truck for at least 5-8 years so I don’t want to just hold on to this stuff.. what are you guys doing? Exhausts, air intakes ect.

 

Throw the exhaust on Craigslist. Someone with a rusted out exhaust would probably buy it.

 

I’d throw the moccasins on craigslist if you’re done enjoying them.

So you could sell here on market place. Someone could want it. There is also freebies thread you can give it away. Craigslist or fb for selling it as well. Or just say screw it and toss or I take to recycling center and sometimes get something on metal and plastic pieces.

 

Do you have the complete air box? Or just the top half?

 

The stock air box can be useful for Ca. folks that didn't know better and swapped it out. I didn't sell mine but did give it to a needy soul.

 

I will take the penguin wrapping paper. What did you replace it with though?

its actually a pvc pipe that I use for rolling out before working out. i Wrapped it in duck tape.

hahaha turns out that tube piece (the bog one, not the hose) thats sitting on his air filter is the only piece I needed @2ndgenny took care of me. Thanks again homie!

I will try craigslist. Facebook marketplace has been a bust so far.

 

They need to change the marketplace forum’s title to “Members who never contribute sending you dozens of PMs, but no one actually following through with buying anything.” At least, that was the result of my one attempt.

I've never tried the marketplace here for selling. but my WTB threads have always helped me out.

 

I don't know why everyone keeps saying this, but @KevinK and I looked at the parts list and everything seems to be the same size and same part number. I think maybe the actual filter might be different but we can't confirm

 

I deleted my thread after a few weeks. Had countless guys messaging me wanting to buy, then going silent. None of them were people who posted anywhere other than the marketplace. I’m sure it works for people, but I’ll not do it again.

I hear ya, I got run around on grill and hood bulge, but wheels sold easily enough.

I guess I’m a hoarder. I’ve kept all my stock stuff just in case. Except the grille. Maybe something happens to my truck and I need to get another one. I’ll take all the stuff off and put the stock stuff back on. Then transfer it over to my new truck. Although I’ve heard of a few guys that were able to get the new truck and swap all that stuff over. Guess the dealers were nice.

In California here, aftermarket exhaust can be looked down upon. I could always throw the stock one back on to clear the fix-it ticket.

 

At Cleghorn let's have a look at how the Bully Dog is and see if the bottom half is what I need. Can you go get it? got 3 days!

 

yea, part of me wants to keep it "just in case". but i hate hanging on to stuff I don't use.

 

We will check it out for sure. I haven’t even picked mine up from the dealership and installed it. But I will get you a complete set don’t trip. I’ll either mail it to u or at another meet will have it ready.
