I've been in the process of figuring out how I'm going to color match my front bumper.

Paint, powder coat, bumpershellz, vinyl or plastidip.

Paint is expensive, almost stupid expensive. Bumpershellz look ok but the fit is off to me, especially around the fog lights, vinyl is temporary until the first giant bug, rock chip and plastidip looks... Off. Not a permanent solution.

So I've settled on powder coating my chrome bumper caps. I called my local guy and he quoted 65$ if I provided the powder. So I've ordered 54 color swatches /samples from his recommended supplier. Anyone have any idea on the color name others have used for magnetic grey metallic 1g3? Kinda help me narrow it down more?

I'll be updating this for everyone in the future who's thinking about doing this after it's all said and done.

In for updates. I've been contemplating having all front and rear chrome Line-X'ed.

I had mine done in black and it matched perfectly. Someone on here did it for mgm a while back and it wasn’t even close. Don’t remember who it was though, or how they fixed it.

Purchased my front and rear bumper end caps from Sparks Parts and the fit is absolutely perfect even around fog lights.

    How much were they though?

I need front only and they don't have any with sensor holes.

A little less than 500 bucks with shipping. But they are OEM and I prefer to keep everything OEM as much as possible. I figure that I spent 40 grand on a truck why am I going to penny punch an extra 150 bucks. I would personally rather spend a little more and get an OEM part.

I'll be saving closer to 450$ .I'm still using an oem bumper. Just not going with paint.

Like someone else recommended...Line-x premium. It will hold up too. Just a thought.

I just brought this option up because you mentioned in your OP that the fit of this option was off to you, which has not been my experience.

I think the ones you're talking about look great. They just don't offer them for bumpers with sensor holes yet. I was talking about the fitment being off on the bumpershellz.

Do they come in "color match" colors? I know they most likely won't be perfect

I would contact line-x. I know the one color they dont do is white. Pretty sure they can do most other colors. I have seen all types of different linexed vehicles and it holds up. Or just do black. There are threads here with linexed bumpers. Looks great and indestructible.

I'll see if one of the powder coat sample colors is a dead match. If not I'll check out line x. Thanks

I just looked and saw raptor liner can match any paint supposedly. There was a thread where a guy did that here. Just another possible option.

Were you referring to the cap covers from sparks? Or the actual caps?

Cap covers. I didn’t want to replace the chrome as it provides a little protection compared to the plastic replacements.
