Hi, I am having the following problem, and wanted to know if someone could help me.
I replaced the wheel bearing of my 2008 Tundra, but after that, when I drove it out, the Traction control light comes on, and the wheel where I replaced the wheel bearing breaks and even locks, one I hit the gas. Really lost here, checked the abs wire, with multimeter and it's getting 12v at the end of it. Wondering if it could be the new wheel bearing or the ABS sensor that got messed up.

    Thank you

About has to be the ABS sensor.

Inspect, clean, reinstall, test. If you're still having a problem, replace. You may have damaged the cable from mechanical contact or movement.

Was it a front or rear bearing you replaced? What brand of bearing did you install?

Make sure the wheel speed sensor is clean with no filings or debris on it.

It was the rear right wheel bearing. The brand was CENTRIC40544015E Bearing Module.
    Thanks for the reply.

I did inspected and cleaned the sensor and the hole, nothing in it, really clean. Could it be the wheel bearing that doesn't have the magnetic reluctor in it?? The description of the part at rockauto.com says it has, but I am not sure anymore, I don't want to buy the ABS sensor and end up discovering that it was the wheel bearing without the magnetic encoder.

Interesting that the first description on Rock Auto shows w/o ABS (I think all these trucks have ABS) yet the detailed description says it has a magnetic reluctor ring built it.

Since the sensor looks good, I’m suspect of that new bearing module - either it has no magnetic reluctor ring or it’s defective. You could pull the sensor and see if the seal ring is at all magnetic on the surface against the towards the sensor using a small screwdriver or steel pick.

Yeah, that's what I did, I took the sensor off, and put a screw driver in the hole, and I can feel it attracting the screw driver, that's why I am not sure what to do.

Do you have Techstream or any way to monitor the wheel speed signal through your OBD2 connection?

Since the right front and right rear sensors are the same part, you could carefully swap them and see if the issue moves with the sensor. That’s if the front one will come out of it’s bore in the spindle easily. Don’t risk damaging the front sensor.

Even if you can’t monitor the signal the Traction Control activating should turn to an ABS fault light if the issue moves to the front.

I still have a bad feeling about that bearing assembly. One of the reasons I only like to use premium quality wheel bearings.

I’d pick the Timken BR500015 or the SKF BR930617. Yeah, there’s a difference in price to what you bought.

Will try the ABS sensor and see if it fixes the problem. Otherwise will have to replace the wheel bearing again, with a better one.
Thank you all. Just bought the tech stream cable, to hook up on my computer. Will check and let you guys know.
