speaker water shields?....

anyone with ideas other than foam baffles wanna post them here?

this is my attempt using ********* adapters and some flexible plastic and JB quick weld...i dont see much posted about protecting new speakers. I guess no one bothers?

 

I close my doors when it rains.

It vould help protect when hosing out the interior....

 

Rain water that gets between window and gasket. Most car manufacturers put some kind of shield on, and they all use plastic sheets between the inner metal door skin and the interior door panel. Pull the panel off after driving in the rain, there will be water in there, that why they also have weep holes at the bottom of the doors.

When I changed my speakers out, I had a little water inside of my door as it had recently rained. You couldn't tell the speakers had any water damage to them, and my new speakers are just fine as well. I don't have a shield on them at all. Are the speakers designed to handle a little bit of water on them? Or does it just not get onto the speakers themselves?

 

i am sure they are designed for it...i am probably overkill....probably only an issue as the vehicle ages....the stock speakers have a little shield over them
