Anyone ever test this or is it just a gimmick like most mods?

    Update on these https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/382421171493

They look great, however there were a few issues. Most of the tabs didn’t line up exactly. Had to “stretch” a few of them to get them to bolt in. There is a noticeably larger gap on the inside lower corners. Overall though for $130 I can’t complain too much. I was able to get the lights lined up okay.

Halfway through "the job." Old radiator is out. Got the coolant out of both drain plugs. Driver side is an absolute bastard to reach. For anyone that reads this in the future, the sweet spot is 7" total length(that's what she said) of ratchet extension plus 10mm socket. That's really the only way to get it.

Thermostat was very easy to replace. Serpantine belt is off. The fan is in my way. Thinking about running out to buy a fan removal tool I found a guy recommending on YouTube.

Unsure if I'm going to attempt the belt tensioner. It looks like the most difficult part. Currently collecting my thoughts and eating lunch.

Here are a few pics of how I drained the passenger side drain plug on engine block. Smart of Toyota to put a spout on there so you can connect a 3/8" hose. You actually get a lot of fluid out of the engine block. I was surprised.

I may chicken out with this tensioner. Confirmed it requires "moving" (not removing) power steering pump and alternator. Others have reported hundreds of thousands of miles on original part. Not sure I'm ready to test my skills this much today.

Yeah. Just wait till either your alternator goes bad or you need a new timing belt for that otherwise you might make a problem where there was none.

Just make sure it moves well - frozen tensioner would be wicked annoying after doing all this work.

Used a torch to heat up the plastic and formed it to my wheel wells then cut the excess off the bottom.

I picked up the Duplicolor touch up pen. Same color code as my truck, 056. I tested it on a couple small spots, the paint seems to be more of an off white than my truck's paint. Maybe I'm didn't shake it up enough? Gonna have to experiment with that a bit more.

As since you guys are so insistent that I take care of my paint, I picked up the Mother's clay bar kit last night. I just tried a small spot on my hood. Ok fine, you guys are right. It's much nicer. LOL.

Is this something I can break up into a couple weekends? Meguiar's #7 is only available online, I can't find any in town here. I'm thinking we can clay bar the truck this weekend and the do the Meguiar #7 polish and Chemical Guys Butter Wet Wax next weekend?

This was supposed to be an exact fit upper hose. Should I keep the original or try to cut this one to size?

I experience the same color issue when I bought a can of Toyota Natural White 056 to paint my passenger door trim to match. It's a warmer white and o wonder if Super White (like 2nd gen Tacos have) would have been a better choice, given the age of the paint maybe

It very well could be. I think I might pick up on of the Super White pens and try that. At almost $20 a pop, they're not friggen cheap. I was hoping it would dry lighter but it didn't.

Front Bilstein 6112 shocks & Bilstein springs. Rear Bilstein 5160 remote Reservoir shocks, Wheeler’s Off-road add-a-leafs. LED lighting. Pioneer Avic 7200NEX Nav Head unit. Borla cat back exhaust.
So, after recently fitting Bilstein front 6112 shocks and springs as well as rear Bilstein 5160 remote reservoir shocks and Wheeler’s Off-road add-a-leafs, my CV axle boots tore. I ordered new boots and when I tried to install them, I found that the previous owner had replaced the axles with some non Toyota axles. I managed to fit 2 outer boots on one axel, but then I had 2 inner boots. After pondering for awhile, I decided to do a front end rebuild with Toyota parts. So I’ve installed new Toyota axles, lower ball joints & tie rod ends. New Brembo rotors with Toyota ceramic pads.

I haven’t done the jams or finished the roof yet, if your talking about the color difference on the bedside that’s from the lighting in the photo but I do agree that it looks like it’s bleeding through in the photos.
