The sway bar makes you feel bumps on both sides even if the bump is only on one side. You should see a drastic improvement in turning.

I have plans on adding the sway bar front and rear. Are they any additional mods that can reduce the trunk chatter? I'm greedy, I want the best of both worlds: good cornering and smooth ride.

When possible, I add a rear sway bar to any vehicle that doesn't have one. A rear bar will firm up the rear suspension, and enable you to navigate corners quicker without leaning so much. My 2002 Tundra has a Hellwig, and my '07 has a TRD bar... I did several things to firm up the rear end of my '07, lowered 3.25", bagged and a rear sway bar.

I added a rear swaybar couple weeks ago. Now I do have a shell on my truck and I believe it caused excessive sway (roll). After installing I noticed the ride was stiffer but body roll down to a minimum. I rides like a truck now not squishy at all.

Think of it this way. A sway bar does a better job of transferring the angle of the road surface to your chassis. If that angle is flat and smooth your ride will be flat and smooth. If that surface is not flat and smooth, that sway bar will still transfer that surface to your ride. The purpose of independent suspension on the other hand, is to buffer that as much as possible. Just depends on what you drive on.
