Home Wi-Fi is weak, no issue with hot spotting off my phone’s LTE.

I remember parking partway in the garage to grab the North American Navigon maps, it was a few gigs, took over an hour I think, their server was probably slow too.

Decided to put my front camera here:
    9D6107BD-BC13-4551-A596-DFD902C9DA6A.jpg

If something reaches the bottom of the screen as I park, I have 6” left before it hits the bumper.

Pretty good for less than $20:

There’s a harness that has 2 yellow ports included in your box for adding cams, and a wire from it is labeled cam power or something like that, so no need to fuse tap a power source.

They have been very slow to resolve the issue with the Dual Zone Climate control on the Upper Trims. Its a deal breaker for me until they fix it.

Yes, on Limited trim and up.
Trust me, I’m getting impatient about it. They keep saying they’re “1-2 months out” from getting it fixed, but that’s been going on for 6+ months. Apparently they need an actual ‘18 and/or ‘19 truck to fix the issue!

so my order is confirmed and now i need to wait the 3 -4 weeks for processing and shipping. Other than the Maestro GPS converter are there any other cords or attachments i need to buy to have a smooth one afternoon install?
So if i inspected the pictures correctly there are 2 usb adapters? (One that replaces the stock one under the heat controls and one other you can route other places? is it possible to add more or are there no more ports on the back of the unit?
i'm thinking about replacing the dash speakers at the same time as the center speaker is accessible when i pull the head unit out.

If you don’t want to splice the Android GPS cable with the Maestro, you need this little connector too.

    Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06Y631SY1/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Yes, you could actually use one USB and attach one of these (3M it down), interchange sticks as you like.

    B6BC5C8F-CFBF-4CF8-95B5-D9B84C1BF0B8.jpg

Reserve the 2nd USB for a CarPlay or AndroidAuto dongle, SNES game controller, or large capacity thumb drive full of movies, whatever you like.

The new units are supposed to have bigger notches cut out but be prudent and cut more on the unit and on the truck side (center top).

Despite having a new Android unit, someone on fb cracked their screen, so it’s best to cut away such that there’s no contact at all up there on the back, it serves no purpose, even if the stock HU is put back. And neither cuts are visible once installed. I used a Mexican dental tool (I forget its official name).

Awesome post @JoshuaA !! This forum, and the FB page, are excellent sources of help and advice due to great contributions such as yours!

I LOVE IT when people post helpful responses like this, vs. when the Search Nazis come out and are like “Use search”, in the pejorative. Yes the search function is invaluable, and it should be used first, but if you have the knowledge, the “copy and paste” skills, and the time, what’s the harm in just answering the question and helping another human being? Almost everyone on this forum is VERY helpful. The FB page...again, most are helpful, but man, there are some, well I’ll be nice and say “not so nice”, people, that thrive off keyboard courage, incendiary remarks, and engaging in public quarrels. If you don’t know the answer, just don’t answer; no need to be a tool and ridicule someone or call them “entitled” or make other flaming remarks.

    Soapbox dismounted! :D

This is not a Toyota product so not from them. Rather from Phoenix posted up by fb Tundra Tesla Group moderator, last one was Mar7/19 which provided several fixes. Put it on a USB stick and the HU sees it, full instructions and feedback on fb:

    66ECB1E8-369D-49E1-862A-977A5E84EE31.jpg

There’s some goodies in that Group I can’t even mention here (app hacks), so good place to join.

Side note, not sure if you’re referring to some other type of update such as the OEM dash display in front of the wheel or something else, but it’s up to Phoenix to make the HU jive with the truck.

I installed the Phoenix system this weekend. It's okay, definitely some quirks.

Heads up...I hope you're prone to using the navigation on your phone...the Phoenix navigation is pretty poor.

Did you connect it to the correct antenna? I have no problems with the GPS.
The satellite radio plug and GPS plug look the same. 1 is black(satellite radio) 1 grey (Gps) You need the grey one for the gps.

If it’s hooked up to your factory GPS antenna with the Maestro harness, Waze/Google is pretty good. Or install the TomTom NA maps, no data use. Add a car launcher app and you have accurate speedo on your home screen too (GPS based).

Anyone know how to get the movies on a hard drive to show in alphabetical order? They're in order on the HD, but when I pull them up in the radio they're all messed up

I didn’t go with the Tesla style HU but went with Dasaita 10.2” android HU instead. Everything is working great so far.
