I’m sure this has been covered on here many times but I have a 2006 Toyota tundra double cab two wheel drive. I have 131,000 miles on it and changed the transmission fluid by a trusted mechanic around 80,000 miles. I have moved and do not have a trusted mechanic anymore and I am curious as to recommendations being as the transmission fluid change in these tundras without dipsticks is rather involved

    No dipstick...no problem. :D

Depends on how much of the fluid you want to change. You have to be "handy", and we'll have to figure out the fluid level setting protocol for you. Just for grins, V6 or V8, 5 spd?

Automatic. I don’t believe they offered a manual transmission

It’s fairly straightforward. The bottom of your trans pan has 2 plugs in it. One (hex head) is the drain and one (round with Allen head) is the “sight gauge”. You fill it up thru the hole in the side of the trans until it comes out the “sight gauge” hole. I’ll try and post the instructions from the fsm in a few minutes
