I am in the process of repairing my 2006 Tundra leather seats. I have researched and found that my color is called Taupe. I must mention I found out the vin on my truck says this truck has cloth. I talked to a Toyota dealer parts dept and they said it was not unusual for a dealer to change one out. I know my dad bought this new and it came with leather. I have ordered some dye to fix several worn or rubbed places . The dye is from Autoleatherdye.com They claim to match factory colors . they had a chart with the color taupe for my truck so I ordered 16 ounces along with some cleaner and other stuff. My drivers bottom seat is the worst shape of all. has tear in the usual place so I need to repair . I found a new cover on ebay advertised as tan and it looks exactly like mine as far as color but it is synthetic leather . I know internet pic colors are hard to judge but as far as I know Toyota only had 1 tan or Taupe color for 2006 Tundra's. I can either take a chance on his and live with a synthetic and possibly dyed seat or I can go to a local shop and have them repair the seat and I would still have to dye it . What do you folks think.
