I'm a bit in the middle with them....
Love the looks, the performance isnt great though. The projector itself is OK, but I'm running them solid mounted (no more use of the adjustment dial on the dash for aiming) and they're a bit high up. Their instructions no where stated the OEM aiming motor could be swapped, and I had read that it couldnt so I didnt mess with it.... come to find out later on that it can be swapped into the spyder's so now I'm going to give that a try when I have a little time to mess with it. For the time being my Rigid DOT fog's handle the foreground well to make up for the high aiming of the spyders, but the output on the spyders in this position makes the high beams unusable(especially considering my Rigids are wired to the factory fog system so they kick off when high beams go on). Overall right now I'd be about a 6.5/10 rating on them if we used a 1-10 scale. If I swap the aiming and that helps a bit then I'm probably going to be about 8/10 happy with them.

@Spvrtan is running them with the aiming motors swapped in and some new LED bulbs in them, he seems to be a lot happier with them this way.

Really people? Didn't damage anything but still. Second time I was hit this weekend. Yesterday was some guy bumping into the back at the Costco gas station yesterday. Thank God my ball hitch was in

people just have no f*cking respect for other peoples property. I got hit with a shopping cart recently and can see it in my front bumper. Worse case scenario a little wet sanding will get it out but the principle still stands.

Exactly. That, and I think people just don't pay enough attention to their actions and those around them any more. Like I said, yesterday, I was sitting stopped at the costco gas station topping up before my little mountain day trip and all of a sudden THUD the dude behind me had bumped the back of me. He was an older guy in a little chevy colorado and dented his license and cracked the plastic license holder since I had my tow ball in, thankfully slow enough that nothing happened to my truck but I was still like WTF dude, been sitting here stopped for several minutes. I think he may have creeped forward to try and give room for people behind him, but still theres no reason to even try to squeeze that close in the first place. Just chill and wait your turn. :annoyed:

I've seen that too! Or back up out of a parking spot and not even turn to look or look in their mirrors, just kind of go slow and pray nothing is there behind them.

Edit... as my dad calls it, "parking by braille" One of the reason I like tough bumpers and rock sliders on my rig, lessen the chances of damage

I always park my truck far away from everyone else. Grinds my gears when I see someone park their shit (unless it's another Toyota truck, of course) next to mine when there are 10k other spots to park.

Too many dbags out there who have zero respect for other people's property.

I had an older couple once park right next to me. I dont wanna be too mad about it but damn... first off he parked RIIIIIGHT next to me, almost right on the line. then the man gets out and opens the trunk to get wheel chair for his wife. I knew where this was going... I politely said, oh sir, lemme move my big ol truck so she can get into her chair easier (not like it was my fault they didnt have room anyway, i was just trying to be polite AND not get a door ding) "no son, shes gotten out in tigher spots, thank you though" ... final last words. she opens the door all fine and dandy, he brings the chair over and whammo smacked the living shit out of my door with hers... :annoyed::facepalm:

Another older guy parked way out in BFE and walked by and saw it and said "yeah, thats why i parked there" i said " yeah, i just decided to have one moment of faith in people, learned my lesson"

I parked my truck on a college campus for 2 years and you just take what you can get out there so shes got some loving but still. 3 door dings is better than 4... haha.

Yea, I bought this kit for my Spyders:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AO8BFD8/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The reviews are kind of all over the place but I figured for ~$45 it couldn't hurt to try them out. So far they're working great. I guess only time will tell if they last (since the biggest issue people have apparently is they burn out after a few months).

It's easy to swap the OEM motors into the headlights, too (I believe it is a 5/16th socket); just be sure to also do the following afterward..
    - Get on flat, level ground.
    - Set your adjustment knob to the left of the steering wheel to the halfway point (setting 2.5).
    - Pop your hood and manually adjust the light levels with your socket wrench until they're where you want them to be.

By doing the above, the adjustment knob becomes actually useful for adjusting when you're towing or not and such.

Edit: Also, I'll get night pictures sometime this week but they work just great for my needs when it's dark out (definitely better than the stock Spyder bulbs). Sure, they may or may not -- I wouldn't know since I've never had retrofit headlights with real projectors -- be as bright as what others claim but I have like 10 other forward-facing LEDs on my truck.

I'm running the 35k on mine! I like the output of the HID's. Day and night difference compared to stock.

In the middle of my first sand storm and was worried about my big blue ox. Everyone told me there was no way to for my truck in the garage but the wife spotted me expertly and got it in without a mm to spare. Now I can sleep knowing that my faithful buddy isn't getting sand blasted. IMG_1103.jpgIMG_1104.jpg
