Help with head unit CarPlay replacement and vehicle settings

Hey All,
I’m going to have RSG Off Road upgrade the head unit in my 2016 Tundra to be a newer unit with Car Play and Android auto. Some of the basic programmable functions are linked to the head unit. Door lock/unlock, light times for interior lights etc. While most of these settings are set and forgot, has anyone replaced their head unit with something aftermarket that supports the settings features?

I’m not sure if this is even possible, I’m also fine to purchase some sort of ODB2 connector that would let me set these settings myself via computer or app on the phone. I would just prefer to retain the functionality since my needs may change, and having the dealership change it is expensive and time consuming.
