My ABS warning light just came on and the ABS does not work. I found another post to disable ABS you remove the 2 fuses. I haven't checked my fuses yet but I imagine at least one of the fuses is blown. My question: what causes the fuses to blow? I can replace the fuses but want to know what needs fixing/replacing if the fuse blow again.

    Thanks everyone!

Maybe a bad sensor or nicked wire somewhere? How did you confirm the ABS is not working?

As I mentioned in the other thread, I've never actually seen an ABS fuse blow, and in my tundra at least, there are two 40 amp! fuses, both of which have to be removed to trigger the light. A faulty sensor or wire I think is the most likely, but its worth pulling and replacing both fuses to see if that resets it.

Check connections and check fluid level. If it's slightly low it will throw the light and disable itself, you'll just have regular brakes.
