Ok, I figure since we have a bumper thread, I want to have a Slider list as well. If you see any that I have left please let me know and I'll add them. I don't know what the rules are on posting the advertised prices so I'm leaving those out.

I will grab as much info from the website of each maker as possible.

[IMG]All-Pro Off Road has been an innovator in developing products for the Toyota Tundras, using decades of extreme off-roading experience. We know that Rock Sliders must be strong to protect your truck, as well as provide the optimal amount of ground clearance. The rocker panels are one of the most vulnerable areas of your vehicle, so leave it to us to provide you with the protection you need!

These are no ordinary nerf bars. Our Rock Sliders have been trail tested on some of the most gruelling trails around, from the Rubicon to the Hammers and Moab. The mounting plates are CNC laser cut from 1/4″ plate steel. The tubular structure is fabricated from heavy-duty 1.75″ x .120″ wall tubing sourced from US Steel Mills for industry-leading strength. The outer tube angles upward to provide more ground clearance and door protection.

The rear of our Rock Sliders extend outward just before the rear wheels to provide extra body protection where it is needed most. This signature “Kick-Out” design protects the rear portion of the cab while maneuvering through tight obstacles. You’ll be glad you have this feature next time you’re wheeling next to a boulder, because as you near the end of the Rock Sliders they will push your truck out and away from danger just in time.

All-Pro Rock Sliders also serve as a convenient lifting point. A High-Lift jack can be used anywhere along the bar to lift one or both wheels. All Rock Sliders come unpainted so you may paint or powdercoat in the color of your choice.

Been thinking about doing one of these, as I’ve been trying to make up my mind on sliders. And the good thing is, sliders that fit a 3rd gen will fit a 2nd gen as well.

Can anyone provide some real world experience? I'm curious about fit/finish quality. I have some SDHQ products and they seem pretty good. Thoughts?

Our group of guys is running the slider gamut. PnP, All Pro, SDHQ, White Knuckle. I've seen all these sliders get bashed on rocks, support the truck and be fine at the end of the day. SDHQ does make nice stuff but their sliders are a little short. Ostensibly 'cause the gas tank makes getting bolts in that portion of the frame very difficult. So, I have seem 1 truck suffer a little rocker panel damage due to this, but the terrain where the damage occurred was something most (99%) people will avoid in their Tundra.

Ok, too many sliders to pick from... It is confusing! Would love some advice. What I am looking for is the following.

    1) Real sliders, i.e. will hold the weight of the truck
    2) Extends far enough back so I can step on them to get into my truck bed.
    3) Are all black
    4) Have a cover on top of the sliders, so feet won't accidentally get stuck in between.

Do the PP type 4 fit this description? Others you are aware of?

    Thanks everyone!

Yes, PnP type 4 fit the bill. So do All Pro and White Knuckle. If you're gonna actually use them to protect the truck from rocks off road I recommend rattle canning 'em black so it's easy to touch up.

It would be awesome if we could we get some measurements of how far each slider sticks out from the door I'd really like mine to act as door guards too.... Ya know for the folks that fling their doors open in the parking lots with out a care.

I’m struggling with the same thing. My Go Rhino RB20 steps provide that type of protection in the parking lot but not on the trails. I haven’t completely decided but I might go with CaliRaised LED for my sliders. Based out of Fort Worth.

Does anyone with WKOR or SDHQ have any measurements how far they hang down from door seam?
Looking at swapping out these stock running boards but was unsure on how far down the new sliders would be hanging comparatively.
My stock running boards are about 4” from door seam. That was the easiest measurement to get….
