Bumper shim install.

Does anyone know of a video that walks through a bumper shim install? I searched and couldn’t find one.

 

It's a pretty easy install. I've got a bit of a walk-thru and pics here.

 

I checked out your link. Do you have some other shots from the side, so I can get an idea how it looks after being shimmed out?

 

I'll take a couple more from further away here in a bit.

 

I installed mine on my 2nd gen with out even taking the bumper completely off. I just loosened up all the bolts and did one side at a time.

I actually tried this at first but couldn't get my hand in there w/a tool to do it, so it was just easier for me to take it off.

I had to use a ratcheting open-end wrench.

 

Haha I knew what you meant. I get auto corrected all the time!

I just like picturing you sitting there with your eyes closed listening to the bolts.

 

I need to expand my collection of those. I have one and there have been way too many times where I wish I had more.

Not to hijack the thread, but what brand are you using and are they durable?

 

I got some halfway decent ones from Home dump. Metric and standard. Husky, they get the job done. I would prefer Snap-on but ....$

 

Gearwrench and yes never had any issues.
