Just got back a couple days ago from P&P Engineering with a set of prototype sliders for a crew max. These things are stout as hell and can't wait for the paint to cure to go try them out.

The mounting is different from anything that i've seen in the Yota world. P&P currently makes production Nissan offroad gear, but are venturing into the Toyota world starting out with the Tundra. Here in the near future we'll be building a bed rack, skids, and front/rear bumpers for the truck.

    Photo dump, you've been warned!

Needless to say, i'm pretty happy with how they turned out. P&P is based out of a small town near Warsaw, Indiana. It's currently a two man show with the help of another Fabricator from time to time as they share a shop together. These guys went above and beyond what I wouldve ever expected them to during the build process. They also asked for my input during the entire build.

If you have any questions let me know. Once the paint is completely cured I plan to slap them back on the truck and go give them a test run.

Shut up and take my money!

    how do they mount?

or if you need someone to test out another prototype in the Northeast I would be more than happy to give em a whirl.

The mounting plate on the slider legs are 3/8" plate. There is another 3/8" flat plate that going on the inside of the frame rail they call the backing plate The backing plate has a hole cut in it with a 1" sleeve welded in. That hardware is all grade 8 and uses a 15/16" bolt with locking washers. Each slider is held on by 5 bolts through factory frame rail holes. This is a true bolt on and requires no drilling. Most sliders have 8 holes (must drill the 4 bottom holes), but I really feel with the mounting plate and backing plate setup, this will take a beating. They been using this system on their Nissan sliders for years without issue.

These do look really nice plus double stout. I just installed SDHQ bolt ons last weekend, so my present commitment is already made.

How much do these P&P sliders weigh?

We didn't get a chance to actually weigh them yet, but they estimated 80lbs each.

If we can find a local DC owner, i'm sure they'd be happy to product one.

I emailed them and they said that they are expecting it to go into production at $700 bare or $850 powder coated.

Nice! Kyle & Jeff are good people for sure. $700 is a solid price for these. I'm hoping like hell the rain holds off today so I can get outside and put them back on after paint.

I don't own a Tundra, but I think it's important I share this with everyone here:
One of the first things I purchased for my 4Runner was a set of sliders and skids from P&P engineering back on May 1 of this year. They said they have a 4-6 week lead time. They didn't get shipped out until July 30th, 13 weeks later. When they arrived, they looked great, however no hardware was shipped. I contacted them and they assured me it was packed in the shipment, but they would still send me the hardware (the way it was packed, there is no way it was lost in shipment). He said he would put it at the top of his priority list (sarcasm for sure). That was August 7th. I have had no luck getting into contact with them since. I have sent emails 9/9, 9/16, & 9/18 with no response at all. I have now been calling a number I found online and no one is picking up. I have also posted reviews on facebook and google.

Sorry to hear this. Looking at the pics and MSRP, I would really consider this to replace the side steps I currently have on now. Good luck, love to read a report if and when you should get your hardware.

    Will do.

Like I said, the price point and the product is great. I just wish I could install them. Before all this happened, I was seriously considering purchasing a front bumper by them.

Correct, no hardware and apparently I also need a bracket to install the fuel tank skid. So nothing is on right now.

Wasn't there some talk of p&p going bankrupt or something along those lines? I domt mean to start rumors but I think I do remember seeing that a while back when I was researching sliders.

I know of one person who had problems with P&P paying freight to release sliders to customer, they did end up getting it in the end.

I ordered sliders through the group by. I waited and waited and waited and waited. One issue after another from PNP. One excuse after another, we’re busy, we’re finishing other projects, your emails are slowing us down ( I kid you not...). In the end I spent 3 days dealing with the freight carrier hounding me for the shipping costs as PNP was non responsive and they couldn’t ship me my item until collections was performed. They kept saying they were going to send them to salvage.

If they would have been more responsive or even apologetic I may have understood but Mac seemed to be nothing but impatient, and irritable about our dealings together. When all that you deliver for 13 weeks is excuse after excuse you don’t get to Be angry at people who’s money you’ve already taken. It’s like they don’t appreciate the business and are bothered when you bring valid concerns and issues up. For example he was angry at me for calling him after the collections department called me. He said something to the effect of “well if you keep calling me how can make time To figure all this out?” Excuse me for trying to figure out what’s going on with my 800 dollar order.

I eventually got them and I like them but I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN. One of the worst experiences I have had through a vendor.

Not surprised to hear there is something going on. In the end I waited around 14 weeks for my uncoated sliders which is way too long
