It almost sounds like VTEC kicked in.

So the final analysis... dealer replaced the complete passenger side coil and shock assembly. No more noises!!!
But, the dealer was also quick to blame the lower grille led bar mounting bracket.... how could that cause a suspension issue... nd why would they have replaced the coil over??

    Small issue im having

Have a new 2018 crew max with 5k miles and the rear passenger side door does not shut as easy as the rest of the doors. Takes a pretty decent slam to get it to shut. I’ve had a couple issues now where passengers haven’t fully shut it then came out to my dome light still being on due to that. When I went in for my 5k service I brought it up to the service guy. He agreed it wasn’t normal. When I picked it up service guy told me it wouldn’t be worth the trouble to try to fix because they would have to take off an put on new door seals and it would never be the same. He stated I would have air whistling in my cab. Paperwork states service manager checked another truck and the same door on another truck shuts the same way.
Should I accept this outcome or make them fix it ?

I replaced the starter with a reman Duralast (Autozone) and now in cold weather the starter makes an awful noise but it does start. My check engine light came on after it started. It went off after a few starts so I have not checked the codes. Here is a link to a video with the lovely noise. Only does this when it's below 32 degrees.

Tell me I have to replace the starter again....

Yikes! That sounds like the bendix is slamming into the teeth on the flywheel after the starter has wound up to full speed. If that continues it could cause other problems. I'd take that starter back to Autozone and find one somewhere else.

Nice to know I'm not alone! Exact same issue here. We've gotten used to it after a year of having it (2018 CM). But it can get annoying. Kids have adjusted to using their muscles to close the door.

Hi shitty door buddy. Likewise. Feels good to hear not the only one. And sounds like you just justified what the service manager said to me.

2002 Tundra with 156K. I notice that when I'm coming up to a red light, just as the truck is about to reach a complete stop I get a bit of a jump or surge. Sometimes it feels more like a shudder. It doesn't do this all the time.

To the best of my knowledge Denso is OEM for O2. May be wrong however

    Seatbelt issue....

2010 5.7 CM, Rear middle seatbelt does not “give” when pulled. My wife rides in the back between my two small kiddos and when she’s buckled in and needs to grab something off the floor or reach towards the front of the truck, the seatbelt is always locked and will not “give” any to let her lean forward...? She has to unbuckle herself, let the seatbelt “suck” its way back to the unused position and then pull it all the way out again and buckle herself back up. Happens every time she’s back there.

@LOTSOFTOYS I HAVE A 2009 Tundra DC 5.7 has 180K miles but runs great. Recently I started to have a problem where the fuel relay blows, not during operation but at ignition.. Replaced the relay and it immediately blew again, messed around with the wires on top of the fuel tank in the way of just feeling around and was able to get the truck started it worked for a few days and now I have the same problem. Never had the problem before and the only thing I have done recently and not sure if it is related but I put some soundproofing material on the back wall and floor of the cab. Is there any fuel system wiring that come through or in to the cab or on the back pillars of the cab that I may have shorted out or something ? My current plan is to replace the wiring harness that plugs in to the fuel tank. I previously had the tank in and out a few times for an unrelated issue and am thinking I may have compromised the wiring some how.

    Thanks
    Greg

If the fuse is blowing it’s from too many amps. Unless you cut some wiring and your shorting our somewhere which I wouldn’t suspect from you just putting down sound matt. I would assume your fuel pump is going bad causing the motor to pull to many amps which would blow your fuse. My old dodge diesel did the same thing and when I replaced the fuel pump motor my issue went away.

No. It’s brand new under warranty. I figured anything that needed adjusting the dealer would do. I’ll take a look at it though. Thanks

You would think not, perhaps that seal closes differently. But thats what I do on mine.

See how the questionable door closes with a window open, that may give some insight regarding the idea of the seal. And it'll kill about a half a minute....

When I come to a slow complete stop I can feel a minor shift under me barely rock back then forward. In my mind it feels like my tranny moves but it doesn’t do it again and only does it on the very first stop wherever I’m at. I know whatever it is is not coming from within the cab when I feel it. Where could this be coming from or why? No high severity just your thoughts, 2000 SR5. Thanks

Ok, I have to mess with one of the motor mounts to put on the headers so maybe I’ll just replace those too. I’ll lift it up tonight and take a look.

Will do! I noticed the gaskets that came with the JBL shorties look cheap and I’m concerned with the head bolts included. I think I’m going to have to pick up some better gaskets and maybe go to the dealership for OEM bolts to ensure quality control. Finished high temp wrap and coating on the headers. Hopefully I’ll have them on soon and sitting tight.
