Putco is the best one, I’ve seen lots of other brands and DIY on trucks out there that look like beads, with some burnt out. Putco looks like a solid light, 3y warranty.

If you buy a Curt 55384 harness with it, it’s mostly plug and play, you just have to tap the reverse wire in the stock hitch after that.

Forgot to mention, I have towing mirrors with side blinkers that help a little too (if you’re in Canada, the OEM ones are only $177 each side from ToyotaPartsDirect.ca)

As a result of this thread, I ordered the Lasfit bulbs in the link earlier in this thread. I would say they are a good 75% brighter in daylight. I took a video, but don't really have a way to post it. So, my 2018 Platinum had incandescent amber turn signals, that only illuminated for turn signals. These Lasfit bulbs act the exact same way. Replacing the turn signal bulbs with the Lasfits did not in any way affect the LED running lights that are on the perimeter of the headlight. So, the only change is the level of brightness for the turn signals. I mention this as there seemed to be a bit of confusion. Overall, for $20, I don't think you could go wrong. I've had a couple of people say that they could hardly see my turn signals (prior to LED replacement). Makes me want to put LED bulbs in EVERYTHING!

I took a screen shot of the video. The bulb on the passenger side is a Lasfit LED. The drivers side is an incandescent factory bulb. Keep in mind, the sun is shining on the passenger (LED) side, and the drivers side is in the shade. The passenger side with the LED is still brighter.

Thanks for starting this post. I have wondered if it was just me that thought the turn signals on my 2018 limited were inadequate. I'm ordering a set of bulbs now from Amazon . Thanks again.

Been following the thread....just to confirm the JDM ASTAR bulbs won't need resistors installed correct? Plug and play?

Nope. Now I have a 18 with the factory LED headlights, if that has anything to do with it.

evening, sort of late in the post. I too thought that the front turns were weak, decided to go all out and do the VLED's. Problem solved with a 3 year warranty. Didn't have to disassemble the front of truck, just plug and play with VLEDS and resistor that screws in. Now no question that the on coming traffic can see my intentions to turn in front of them. Going on 4-5 months and that worry is gone. Can't recommend them enough. Thanks @BlueBottle for the coaching, with VLED lower cost bulbs in the back and can see the reflection of the stop signs from a block away. Am Happy with the result, no doubts that others see my intentions.

No on the led tails. Stock. The headlights are the new led OEM headlights.

looking at the VLED website the search engine says that there are no bulbs for the 2018's. that is not true after talking to their tech support the 7443 bulb will fit the front of our trucks. (call for confirmation). wasn't happy with the offerings of the rears in the various companies, kept the factory housings and just replaced the bulbs. Rather awesome in light production. Project finished.

good ol' tundras.com, pointing out things I previously had zero interest in and leading me to buy more things for my truck that I "was buying new to keep mostly stock"

After reading these post i never realized how dim the signal bulbs were. Just ordered the lasfits from Amazon. Pretty cool that i dont need a resistor for it. Once again thanks to the tundy community for sharing good info.

Installed! No resistor is needed and these dudes are quite bright- “hurt-to-look-at” bright.

I do not have hyper flash.

My video would not lend anything to this thread that the previous ones didn’t.

For 20 bux, no shipping fee, and less than 5 minutes to install, the only mystery left is durability and bulb life. If I can remember to do it, I’ll hunt this thread down and update it when the day comes.

Thought I was the only one who thought this. I know I'm late in this thread, but for what it's worth I got the Triton's off vleds.com and they are BRIGHT. Added their resistors and they work flawlessly. It was a pain to install though having to take off the whole headlamp to access the bulbs. 2019 Pro and everything fits perfectly.

In daylight with the lamps on..

So you have to take off the whole headlamp to just replace the bulb. The genius engineer that designed that should be tarred and feathered, just plain stupid. I have the 18 LED headlights and was thinking about doing this but don't feel like having to take off grill, panels, and remove headlights just to change a bulb, at least outside in the PA winter.

Wait...I didn’t take my whole headlight out to change the bulbs! It took like 10 mins tops for both sides!
