You can do 3/4 of it. I see tundra’s up there all the time.

I wouldn’t take you someplace that would cause damage. That would be messed up.

Sounds like a good possibility. I just checked out a couple of YT vids, obviously my/our trucks wont be doing that stuff.

So are you down as well, even if you ride with me or Jose?

The CM is still stock-ish, minus some LED's and an RCI skid donated by William when he rolled his Tundra a couple months back. The T100 is much more built lol.

Medano Pass should definitely be doable in a Tundy.

We did it last August and the only spot that was iffy was the top most creek crossing (first you encounter past the peak when driving the pass headed south). When we went through mid-august, the creek was about 2.5 foot deep. Did a good job drowning my LED bar and got a little concerned with my plastic fan blades chopping the water, but the creek bed was pretty uniform (then) and didn't drop off with any surprises. It's just wide enough (~35 feet) that checking depth in the middle wasn't doable without going in.

Several camp spots had bear boxes, some dispersed spots did not, so plan accordingly because bears are common in the area. No real views from most the camp spots, but coming down into the sand dunes is nice. No need to airdown in the sandy spots, if you're doing the pass going south (downhill through the sand). If you'd like to though, there is an air up station by the RV dump/parking lot.

Also, don't forget to stop at Zapata Falls just off CO-150 south of the dunes. Crummy washboard roads going up to the parking lot and a little 1/4 mile hike to the falls, the last bit through freezing water (wear water friendly shoes, don't be an idiot and do it barefoot like I did, you'll regret it) but a nice little side venture.

Wow! 2.5" deep in August? We went in October and is was about 3" deep LOL

Agree. The road to the falls b-l-o-w-s. The fun part was that there was no one on the road and my kids sat on my lap and drove the truck.

o_O 2.5 feet is a decent depth for us nearly stock Taco folks. Though I've heard you can still drown in 2 inches of water, so glad to hear you survived a full 3"! :amen:

The crossing pictured isn't the top most crossing, it looks like one closer to the bottom/dunes (?).

That is correct. First crossing coming from the dunes side. The other ones weren't much deeper.

Sorry, 2.5' not 2.5". Typo. Mostly noting how quickly the water level dropped in 2 months. My tundra was stock at the time too.

The top most one was that shallow, right before you crest the peak and head down the north side? Wow if so. Unfortunately I didn't stop to get a picture of it, was just happy to get through it and not meet the same fate I did in my XJ once..

Anymore CO folks going to come play with us?

So far it looks to be front range people and 1 from Durango.

Is everyone planning on this being a 2 day thing? As far as I know @ChefJose, myself and the boys and @Grey Wolf, @ColoradoTJ are in for the 2 day thing. Who else?

    Somethings to consider:
    First aid
    Medications
    Recovery gear
    Hygiene
    Water
    Food
    Snivel gear
    Commo

I was thinking about sometime around Memorial Day. But the last 3 or 4 years we have had a cold snap during that time. Waiting for April or May to get here to better gage it.
