My truck is an 08 just debadged it this last summer .The only thing I can tell you is the remainder of the residue may be harder to get clean make sure to have a good eraser wheel handy. I also had to buff the areas a little but my truck is much older .I say do it.

    Lost track after #1.
Well, if there is a difference at least you'll have an outline where they go if you want to stick them back on.

After you clay, polish, and wax the entire truck, it'll blend but you'll have to keep it up because it's had 4y+ of UV exposure on the exposed clearcoat/paint. You can do polish/wax touchups just on the where the badges were in-between full jobs if you start to see badge shadows.

At worse, put on black badges.

Use Goo Gone to get the glue off the paint...you shouldn't need any buffing wheels or any erasers...the paint and clear are real thin as it is.

I used WD40. It cleans up the goo and won't mess with the paint.

I debadged my 2011 MGM recently and there's a difference in paint color. Not really noticeable unless up close though...

If you are getting a new badge set they will have new tape already on them if your reinstalling I used 3m tape. Its what most brand use on the trim. But you will have to mark where they go I suggest like painters tape all the way around the badge even before you start to remove it.

I'm good with my emblem badges, they're blacked out already... But, I'd love to remove the bedside stickers. The red X in the XSP decal is a little Z71ish for me. How do I remove those without messing up the paint? My truck is a year old, so hopefully it won't show a difference.
