Getting used to those gauges is a good problem to have

 

My MPG has already gone up another .6mpg during my first 300 mile drive. Still need to work on my tune and do a few other things. I think I can get it back to 12 mpg.

 

Didn't want to put the gauges where the grab handle would go?

 

I prefer it where I put it. It’s more practical for me to see the gauges with my other gauges. The side pillar gauges can block part of your side view.

 

I’m loving this new ARE camper! I like the look of it and all the extra room for storage.

 

Its looks great. And as always your attention to detail is impeccable, lol....blacking out the street name signs, nicely done.
How's the view from the rear, I know you put in quite a bit of effort into rear facing lighting on your truck. I'd assume you could move those lights to the shell if needed. That thing is gonna looks bad ass all lit up inside too. I'm really starting to warm up to the idea of a bedrug, even under my tonneau. How do you like it so far?

I like the bed rug. It’s very nice! I have plans for the lighting for the camper shell on the inside and outside. It will take some time and planning to do.

I’m not afraid to get my truck dirty since I prefer to use it and drive it. The mud is definitely hard to get off the paint.

 

Does that camper have a pass thru to get into the cab? Never really looked into campers but a kinda want one.

 

The window on the camper closest to the rear roll down window does fold down. So I can still get access into the camper shell.

My new TRD big brake kit is so massive compared to the stock size rotors.

My third brake light on the ARE camper shell was hazy and had moisture in the lens. So I took it off the shell, removed the old 3m tape, cleaned it with rubbing alcohol & then used mother’s power plastic cleaner. Plus I finally got to use my Flex polisher for small projects like this. The Flex did a great job!
The right side of the lens is after one polish of the mothers. The left side is before doing anything.

Both sides after cleaning.

I sprayed the lens with a spray paint tint from a hobby store.

Then I re-sealed the lens with new silicone. Reinstalled 3m tape.

 

Installed and done! No more moisture can get in the lens. Now my tinted third brake light will blend in with the shell.

 

whats the braking on the BBK like compared to stock?

They do help stop the truck in a shorter distance but the braking feels softer on the pedal.

 

Thanks Dan! You’ve got a great look Tundra! I saw your shell in another post. It looks nice and very functional with your current setup. The over head storage you have is very handy for hunting!

 

This truck is kind of cool I guess.

 

I do a have a sunroof and you can either install the bars over the sunroof or not. I elected to install over my sunroof. I never need to stand up through it and I like the added protection over the glass.

I’m still deciding what I want to do with a rack or not on the camper shell.

 

I ordered some different vinyl samples from Dark, mid and light smoke to go over my front led light bars and a few other lights. I think the front of my truck will look more stealth and unique not seeing the silver led reflectors as much. I’ll post up some pics after I get the install going and done. The manufacturer also makes carbon fiber, satin & honey comb pattern vinyl to wrap lenses. Here’s a few sample photos for reference.

 

Link to purchase? I have used lamin-x successfully to achieve the same with other lights. I like lamin x it’s very thick and easy to work with.

 

I was going to wait on the product arriving and see if it’s as listed before posting the link. I would hate for others to buy the same product I did if it’s not any good. I will post a link after install.
