Question on leveling

Santa, aka the wife, was very good to me this year. Finally got me into a Tundra! 2019 Toyota Tundra SRD!

I have a question on the best routes to leveling this beast. Eventually (as in 3+years) I will be putting a good size lift on it. But for the meantime I would like to level it out. Would I need to do a 2" front block to level it out? Budget is a concern at the moment. The truck rides great now but I cant stand how it is unlevel. Any insight you have would be great! Blocks or no blocks? Price comparison? Best bang for your buck?

A 2 inch spacer in the front should level you out.

 

Looking forward to the answer from the members of forum. I recently purchased my Tumdra and have the same concern about the leveling of the truck in the front!

Bilstein 5100s, cheapest way to get your lift. Try to avoid blocks and spacers, for the fact that its not good for your truck and will make it ride like shit.

 

Keep in mind cheap is not always better, may be better to wait.

 

Bilstein 6112. 5100s are cheaper but my experience and feedback from others sold me on 6112s. For a lil more I'm very happy with them

Here's my spacer on a 6 inch lift. My truck rides super smooth.

 

Simple is great! I've got a 6 and 7 year old so for a few years I ain't gonna dump a bunch of money into it. Just some minor things here and there. Plus I'm keeping the stock wheels since the tires are brand new. The way I see it, I want to put a 6 inch suspension lift later on, so why not put 2" on the front to get by until I can dish out the money for suspension and wheels n tires.
What blocks do you have on yours? You gotta pic of the whole truck?

I have blocks on my older tundra like these, would level you out cheap. Ride isn’t great, for mostly highway miles it would be ok imo.

I went with a rough country leveling kit. Brought the front up 1.75". Can't tell much difference in the ride.

Yes. It was $470 for everything at a local shop here in NC.

 

yes, but I have had to add a 1 inch rear shackle to my lift due to the Toyota springs being soft and I tow often.

Clarification-My Procomp 6 inch lift uses a 3 inch block and an AAL for the rear.

Congrats! Nice Truck there sir!!! I've gone with the Bilstein 5100s up front to level it out, m iddle setting for now. I will increase to the top setting and install Toytec shackles in the rear once I install new rims and tires.

 

How much were the 5100s?

Not sure what has changed for ride between my 08 and a brand new tundra but I had a leveling kit on mine for 2 yrs rode smooth before I lifted it 6" but I will say dont do like I did and buy cheep spacers .The bolts for them need to be strong .When I took mine off the bolts where literally bent .And when you buy a big lift kit dont buy one that has big spacers go with lifted struts it will ride almost like factory.

 

One more thing check out coach builders. He makes really strong stuff for tundra .

 

If I'm on stock 20s and want to level it/lift it a little. How much lift in front and rear do you think would look decent without having to buy bigger tires?
Also what would you go with? Bilstein 5100s?

I think that would be the best way but if you still want cheep go with spacers maybe pro comp or another name brand .

 

I talked that tundra owner into just putting on a big lift kit today after he sat in my truck he was sold. Lol

 

Spacers and shims? Same thing?

 

Dont quote me one this but spacers are placed above the hole shock assembly where shims are still under top hat of the spring if that makes sense shims will compress the spring more .Like I said not 100% on that .
