I hate to ask this question but I’ve read this thread over and over trying to figure out the answer.

Does anyone know what the lowest offset you can run on a stock TRD PRO without a CMC or BMC?

I’m thinking +18 is that too low?

I want a beefier stance and I’m thinking it might be time for some new wheels.

Not sure, I'm sure tire size will also come into play. Here was mine with cb 2 shims and +3 shackle, steer kit, on stock wheels with 1.25 spacers. Tires were 295/70r18. Did not need bmc and was nice stance without flares.

That looks good with the spacers  I’m on the fence about going the same route. I’m running smaller tires (285/70/18) right now. But I’m wondering if I go with a +18 offset if that would be too low. I see a lot of people at +25

If I did my math correct. Stock TRD wheels are +60mm, with 1.25" wheels spacers, that would make them stick out like a +28.75mm offset. I could be totally wrong about.

That sounds about right  better than my math LOL.
I wonder if +25 is the safe size.

Does the centerbore have to be the same size on the wheel?

I would stick with hub centric wheels instead of lug centric. You can go a little bigger on the bore size, but not smaller. I think I read your question correctly.

The specs on the wheels are 116.5 centerbore and the 3rd gen tundras are 110.5

I wasent sure if that would be a problem

What wheels are more hub centric? I’m looking at methods but they are more lug centric

That math sounds correct. Not positive, but sounds right. I've heard a +18 to +25 is the sweet spot. I think u will be alright with a +18 but u might want to confirm with someone who has that exact spec. I'm pretty positive you can find someone with those specs.

Look at the bright side, least what you're doing I'm sure has been done before. I'm taking a shot in the dark here since I have never seen anyone try to fit a 35x12.5r17 Pitbull Rocker tire on a stock pro suspension with 2 cb shims and steer kit. Especially since I need a +12 or lower offset with the cb steer kit according to Dave Elkstrom. So I'm going with a 0 offset since I got flares. I'm pretty sure I'm going to require a bmc and maybe bumper shim too.

Shit I've never even seen a Tundra on Pitbull Rockers, ever. I stay looking on the forums too. So I'm going to take a huge gamble and it's either going to work out awesome, or theres a reason no one has the setup I'm going for and it'll be 1 big expensive mistake. Guess we'll see when I get some 17" rims. I just hope my desire to be different ain't gonna bite me in the ass. This was just the other night on my current setup.
    20181215_185230.jpg

Here below are the big bastards going on. Lot of money in all these Pitbull tires. Got Pitbull Growlers on the quad for bout 5 years (best by far I've ever had,no comparison). Rockers going on truck.
    20181215_172153.jpg

Big difference compared to my 295/70r18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on truck now.
    20181215_152057.jpg

Will look badass assuming I'll get them to fit. Here's an idea.
    20181215_152045.jpg
    20181215_150939.jpg

These tires are insane, like a work of art, hard to see in pic even with zooming, but there's Latin sayings and designs all the way around in them, all kinds of crazy shit.

Dave Elkstrom owner of Elkstrom designs, aka @Coachbuilder1 not only makes the shims and shackles for our trucks but also a upgraded steer kit. If you Google it u will see it, its a beefy heim joint that makes steering big tires effortless.

Tnx for the love on my truck. Just fyi, if your interested, I have a build page going where you guys can get all the info u seek and pics of everything too. If u have any questions just ask there and I always do my best to help fellow Tundra owners. Not bragging but if your looking for ideas on how to spend money on your truck, theres plenty of bad influences you can find in mine that I've already added and unfortunately for me, I'm always adding more. Guess u can say without a shadow of doubt I'm fully addicted to adding to my truck, let's just say I'm fully invested. Here's the link to it, but I warn u lol.

Nope just added flares, nothing else, very easy. Yes stock suspension. Dave is extremely knowledgeable and a very good guy. Following his advice you can't go wrong.

The bedslide is awesome and they are constantly improving their product.

Just so we don't jack the wheel n tire thread, if ya got anything else either start a convo or ask me anything in the build. Not trying to be rude to ya, just don't want to jack this thread on people who care nothing that we talking about and only want tire/wheel pics.

You'll love it, makes turning big tires effortless. I'm guessing their beefiness also helps keep everything nice and tight, where it's supposed to be.

I have the same wheel but with a "0" offset. LT275/55/20 Ridge Grapplers and they rub on the front mud flap in reverse at 3/4 turned.

Well guys after having my 3.5” rough county lift for a year I’m finally about to put it on. Will be running 35x12.50x20 Toyo MT on +25mm offset 9.5” wide wheels. Can anyone give me an idea about how far these might stick out from the frenders? I don’t want to much hanging out but was told by RC that’s the offset I have to have. Thanks!

Does anyone have a picture of Nitto Grapplers or something similar on stock 18" wheels with no lift? Want to see what that looks like? Assuming 275-70-R18 is the largest tire available with that setup?

thumbnail.jpg I'm using 295-70-18 G2s on aftermarket wheels, with stock (for now) suspension. Not caring for wheels plastic center cap, I used aluminum block-off plates.

Not to bad. Had to trim rear mud flap, and the plastic behind bumper. No rubbing on chassis or suspension though.
