Hey guys, just crawled under my new (to me) 2011 Tundra and noticed that 1 of my t-case cross member bolts is missing, one is almost out completely and the other 2 are missing nuts on the end. What size bolts are these??

Can you be a little more specific? I can look it up but I'm not intimately familiar with the terms. Are you talking about the transfer case?

The crossmember bolts you have to remove to drop the transfer case. 2 bolts on each side that bolts to the frame. Long this ones with nuts on the ends.

Best bet might be to take one of the remaining nuts off, measure the length of the bolt and size the thread at the hardware store with the nut.

So, an update for y'all! Went to Home Depot and they did NOT have the nuts that match this, nor AIH. Called my parts department and $21 my 1 bolt and 4 nuts will be here next Friday.

Kind of makes you wonder how it got that way. I know my T case member bolts are still freakin tight at 9 yrs old. Maybe they worked loose but then again???

Don'the know the size but last time I had my truck serviced (at about 63,000 miles) the mechanic found the same thing on my 2011. One bolt missing, one Backed halfway out and 2 loose but not backed out. I want to know how no one spotted this before because it has been serviced every 5k miles most at the dealership.

I think anyone with a 2011 better check crossmember/transfer case bolts. Someone on the Assembly line back then was probably stoned.

I was a mechanic and did all my own work but age and many medical problems prevent that know. My Tundra has always been serviced at either the dealership or the tire/brake shop.

I will be installing those too and torquing them down to spec. Looked through the service history, no reason for anyone to drop that cross member.
My 2011 folks, check them out!

    *UPDATE*UPDATE*UPDAT*UPDATE
So, I asked a Toyota technician about these bolts and if any issues have been brought up in the past? Not to his knowledge nor Toyota's knowledge.
So, I went to Home Depot and bought 2 bolts. I looked around for about 45 minutes in the hardest department, and nothing (in my mind) was a permanent fix.
So, $24 and a week later, 4 nuts and 1 of the missing bolts came into my local Toyota dealership and they are installed. IMG_0738.jpg

Good to go:thumbsup::thumbsup:. Reasonably cheap $ fix is always good. (I wonder how many here went out to check their bolts? heh heh) I did.

I did not lose mine, but I could not remove mine without breaking them. I ordered these parts to replace them:

    90080-10378 Rear Mount Bolt
    90178-A0035 Nut Flange

Worked perfectly, I do not have the size though.

Home Depot is a lousy place to go for hardware like bolts.
