Anyone know how to replace the bulb for the climate fan?

3 screws behing control knobs and two up behind vents. Takes 2 minutes to remove.

The larger bulb (avail at auto store) is 194. I did not reinstall the green rubber. The smaller bulb (not spec’d on manual) is T5 ordered online (auto stores do not carry these in LED). They can be used at the step light and glove box locations as well. I’ll have a few extra and do some lights behind the instument cluster, as the will work there too.

Those bulbs will come out of those twist lock bases. You’ll reuse those bases. 1/4 turn with needle nose pliers and pull out base from backside of panel. Then with your fingers remove the bulb from twist base. I can see my panel gauges again.

I did all my bulbs at one time. They still worked, but had black burns on the glass which diminished the brightness significantly. Went ahead and did all and do not regret it. Those green rubbers were faded too which did not help the brighness.

Anyone know where to order the green caps for the bulbs Or what an acceptable replacement item would be?

    Thanks in advance

    PS

If I go with LED Bulbs, does the dimming function still work correctly?
