Hi. I saw many threads on clusters and Dash LEDs, but I am still loss on what I should order on Amazon. I have a 2006 double cab. I will like to know the led type and quantities I will need to:
    - Get blue led for cluster background + transmission lights
    - Control panel led type for AC control, fan and temp background, defrost, cargo, .... I think I may need 2 per switch (one to light up at night and one that said switch is on)

Since LED evolve quickly, I will appreciate recent recommendation.

    Check out superbrightleds.com
They should have the sizes listed. Heads up the sizes they list for the dome and map lights is wrong, just FYI. I know from experience. The dash lights should be 194 I believe. Iirc it takes 4. The AC is either 74 or or a special type of bulb that I can't recall what it's called. But you need 3 of them I think. Here's a link with more info

You need 4-194s and 1-74 for the dash lights You need a neo4 4mm for each transmission light (so 6 total). I just ordered mine from super bright leds which is where I get all my bulbs.

I did replaced all my AC Controls bulb with LED. What a difference! For the Dash clusters, I got a surprise. See attached image. The board has integrated welded led in it, so no way I can change the bulb! Seems the 2006 model year do not have the good old bulb I can change. I will need to live with the low light green type...

I might be thread jumping here, but... I have no illumination behind the A/C control knobs. I see above that there are 3 bulbs... I have 2 questions...
    1) Would it be odd for all 3 bulbs to be out? That seems improbable...
    2) How do I get to those bulbs?

    Thank you in advance...

Never done this before, but going on memory from watching a video there are three screws that hold that panel on. Two of which are behind two of the control knobs. Check out a youtube vid in first gen Tundra panel removal. Thats where I saw it. Seems pretty easy to access.

At 17 years old, no it wouldn't be odd all 3 are out. PHM had part of it right, remove the 3 control knobs and remove the phillips head screws, push the vents on each side of the radio up and you'll see 2 more screws in there. Then grab the panel between the vents and radio and pull and the whole unit will come out.

I just did my AC Panel. For the bulb, I used LED T10 to replace the 168. I will say night vs day for the lighting. Next project is the dash, the greenish make me sick ;)

I’ll try this T10. Hope no LED rejection. Just check my lighting and think my temp knob is out and sharing the light from the fan and function knobs. Wonder if the 4hi/lo and recirc bulbs are the same? Will do all simultaneously.

IIRC those guys are LEDs in the switches themselves. On the other bulbs be sure to get something that throws a 360° beam or the backlight won't look right.

Do you have a picture of the new bulbs package? With part number and brand?

The Partshams lights I used on cig light and ashtray will fit. The come with a new base(s) in a separate bag as a kit with the bulbs.

The bulb is shaped differently so certain applications may throw differing light than a round bulb. Only place I‘ve had to adapt the positioning (as well as the body) was at the cig light.
