Great, got CEL (Check Engine Light) the other day and indicated the other pump went out. And this morning my truck was in limp mode. Just ordered the parts and will be doing this fix this weekend. $400 in parts this time but still coming out ahead compared to the $2000 the dealership wanted.

If anyone would like a write up let me know. I will be using the Chilton Manual procedures that I have previously posted.

And if anyone lives in the Houston, TX area and would like to earn a couple of free beers let me know. It goes faster with help.

I agree, but if you did any updates on this system via recall, you're screwed on the bypass working.

I'm sure the DIY would he helpful. I heard the job is a pain.

Do you guys know when they updated the trumpets on new Tundras for sale? I'm wondering if my 14' has the updated parts...

Yeah, yours should have the new parts, they started using the new parts in some of the 2012 models. But all of us 2011 guys are hung out to dry, Toyota only is taking care of the '07 to '10 tundras.

Considered it but I heard of it causing other issues and throwing ECM codes. With my luck with electronics I wouldn't pass my next emission test.

For everyone's benefit, the reason I pursued replacing the parts with new ones instead of the bypass: I figured since the original parts lasted over 100k miles, the new ones should easily last another 200k to 300k miles since I also put in the new air intake hose that has a guard on it to prevent water ingress.

I'll take some pics and try to do a write up but it won't be much better than the Chilton Manuals. Also, I have the 4.6 engine which makes the job alot easier in comparison to the 4.7 models.

    Chilton Manuals Attached.
