I am at a loss I purchased my tundra about 6 months ago and have had issues since I bought it. I just took it today to another mechanic and told me I am intermittently throwing misfires on almost all cylinders and no codes are being thrown or pending. If I accelerate heavily over 4500 rpm it feels as though a rev limiter is being hit. I changed out the spark plugs my truck has 85000 miles on it. It is 5.7 flex fuel. Please need help I love this truck just running into a wall at this point in fixing.

I know I have heard coil packs too but it is random and multiple cylinders so that seems like it.would rule that out

Did they figure out the issue? My 2014 is misfiring on occasion and it resolves itself after being parked overnight

I did it turned out it was a bad cam sensor. Does it do it when you reach a certain rpm?

Only does it after it’s been parked overnight. When I start it, it revs at 2500 rpm. CEL goes on and it’s runs very rough. I won’t drive it when it’s missing.

I never got a CEL it hesitated and wouldn't accelerate over 4500 rpm. Have you checked what code is being thrown?

Start with getting the fault code(s) read, since the CEL is coming on meaning there is an active fault at that time.

Took it to Toyota and they read that it’s misfiring but it doesn’t tell them why. Asked if I was using flexfuel. They turned the light off and said they don’t know what happened. Done it 4x in 3 months. Thanks

Have you had any exhaust work done lately. Plugged cats can cause this...
I have also heard of cam position sensors that are on their way out creating similar symptoms.

Going back to Toyota for the fourth time today. I'm gonna get pissy with the service manager this time because they havn't done a damn thing to try and correct my issue. They said they don't want to throw parts at it, but I have a full warranty. If it doesn't get resolved, I'm done with the truck.
