Coil overs, what do you recommend?

    7" BDS, ADS front and rear, Total Chaos UCA's, CB tie rods
    I have the 7" BDS lift with the factory springs and Bilstein 5100's. I messed up my springs while driving off the pavement and now they're a bit compressed. I'm looking to upgrade to some coil overs so hopefully I don't run into this problem again. So far I've looked at the BDS and Bullet Proof's C/O's while keeping the 7" and not re-doing my setup besides eventually the UCA's. I'd like to hear your input.

    You already have coilovers. The truck comes stock with coilovers. The BDS kit just adds s preload spacer and an extension to the lower shock mount. Not entirely sure what you are trying to fix but a photo would help.

    If you are looking for premium coilovers (something rebuildable, tunable, and height adjustable with preload) King and Fox also are options.

    Premium, something with a stronger spring. Shouldn't be the shocks, I have less than 10k miles on the setup and the shocks are dry. It's mainly a bunch of rubbing that wasn't there before.

    I'm running fox 2.5 coil overs with 2.5 triple bypasses in the front. I love mine and they take a beating!

    The rubbing didn't happen until after the damaged parts.
    Do you know if with these brands that I'll be able to keep my clearance? I looked at the Kings but couldn't find that info.

    You can have them make you anything your heart desires if you want. Considering you're just running 5100's all you'd need is the OEM replacement coil overs from them which are just stronger and more serviceable and tunable. OEM Replacement means same length your current ones are without the propensity to break as easily. They come in all shapes and sizes.

    Again. Photos of said damaged parts? I've hucked my pile of shit all over the place and broke all kinds of shit, but never a coilover.

    As @bandit said, King and fox will build you whatever the hell you want. But it requires a lost art of using your phone as a phone...to call a vendor, not click to buy. If you need suggestions on real shock resellers, I have suggestions. But its up to you and what you want to achieve. I've got over 4 grand in just shocks in my toy truck, and none of it was availible as an off the shelf purchase on a web site.

    I didn't know that the companies would build per request, this is good to know. I was talking with another member earlier about buying his coil overs when he upgrades and replacing my current suspension isn't on the top of my list, but I'll start looking.

    As the others have stated, need to make some calls. Now the lift you have just uses the factory strut system if I remember correctly. Any of the 0-3" King or fox shocks will bolt right in.

    However, I haven't put eyes on a lift like yours in a few years, so I could be more screwed up than a soup sammich.

    You're correct, uses the factory setup. I'm in need of new springs as well, something more durable; this is the reason that I'm planning on using an after market setup. After I install my bumper, winch, and light bar, the C/O's should be next.

    While my welds cool in the garage, I have a few minutes to chat.

    Then a good set of Kings/Fox will do nicely. The even better part is you can get the estimated (or actual) weight you are adding with the winch, bumper and light bar so you can get the right springs for the weight/ride height you want.

    Remember....eat a dick for a good discount...@jberry813 you're fucking hilarious.

    Yep. I may have went that route on my Jeep if I wouldn't have just went with Kings. There are a few guys I know that run them. If you can spring for them, might want to look into them OP.
