What do you guys do when you have to bring the tundra in for service at the dealership? Do leave it as is or unplug it somehow?

Leave it as is. Unless the dealership is fixing something dealing with wiring under the dash, they'd never even know it was installed.

exactly! Its also kind of cool to check on it and see door locked or unlocked and engine running... you get a good sense as to where your vehicle is regarding service order....

I joined this site to try and help others. I didn’t connect the key sense wire and when I remote shut off, the alarm goes off. You must use the key sense wire to utilize remote shut off. Works for both Fortin RF remote and OEM 3x. If yours isn’t hooked up, remote start it and wait a few minutes and remote stop. I bet the alarm goes off.

My head is spinning. So what kit and harness is needed for the plug and play on the Fortin evo One for a 17 Tundra with G key? I am trying to buy from the ebay guy but I cant figure out which one I need.

Also researching it for the wife's 18 4runner making me even more confused.

Hi , I was installing evo one on my 17 tundra limited with oem alarm with break glass sensor and everything's works fine except when I lock a vehicle waiting couple minutes and re-enter using only a key there is no alarm sound like it was before. When i press panic button on alarm is working. Anyone has the same problem?

Try locking it while in the truck, wait a min. then open door from inside. Does the alarm sound?

Earlier today finished the install of the Evo One for my 2017. Bought it on ebay from a guy named warmcarnow for $169.00 than includes everything needed for the install. After watching a few videos I was able to install it in 30 minutes. Very easy install, removed the plastic cover from bottom of glove box and ran coat hanger to the driver side to pull the tpms cable and only had to tap in one wire other than that everything else plug and play. It starts up if I either hit the lock 3x or hold lock for 3 seconds. Surprising easy install would suggest anyone in the cold or hot regions to get one.

I actually installed the one from ebay yesterday as well. I had a question so I texted the guy that sells them and he replied right away. So far no issue.

Does anyone know if this evo one will work in the 2019 model Tundra? I’ve seen on their website it only shows to 2018. The tech on their hotline said they haven’t had a2019 model to try it on yet. Has anybody out there tried?

So i ordered one of these from Warmcarnow site and haven't heard anything yet from them. It was ordered on Nov 27th. Did the package just show up randomly at your door? I am concerned that I haven't gotten a conformation email, but have the charge on my AMX. I tried calling but got no answer... It is after business hours there though.

Hmm.. I received and email when he charged my card and also an email when it shipped. All together took 4 days from order date to my front door. I think I am only one state below him so maybe while it arrived so quickly.

Thanks. I will try to give him a call today and see what is up. I figure that he probably got swamped with orders. My holiday shopping has not gone well this year.

I was emailed when my remote start shipped from Warmcarnow. Also he was very responsive when I had a couple of install questions. He didn't answer when I called but after my message he returned my call pretty quickly.

I have tried calling a dozen times. There isn't any answer. After it rings for a minute, there is a beep like an answering machine, but no message. I cant even get a hold of the place to cancel if i wanted to. Anyone got another number other than (518) 393-7777? I am going to call one more time tomorrow to get a hold of them and then calling my CC company to kill the charge.
Best buy has a 4095S starter with the 3000ft 2 way remote with free install for the same price. I would love to do this myself, but not hearing anything from this guy is not giving me warm and fuzzies.

Welp, I found an email for him and finally got a response. I can't say it was one of someone that was like "hey man sorry it took so long but I got it for you" I wouldn't recommend.

    12voltsolutions remote start installed!!
FINAL UPDATE (13 Dec): 12 V customer service is friggin top notch!!

They just sent out a new unit—didn’t even ask me. Got here in 36 hrs. 13 min install. Works as advertised!! Will be sending back the old unit and hopefully they can figure out where that thing went haywire. A small product hiccup, but excellent customer service and a willingness to do right by the customer. These guys get the highest grades!!
Couldn’t have come at a better time. It’s been 1* F these past few mornings.

EDIT UPDATE: Finally got a hold of Veronica Tuesday. Techs still not sure, so they sent out a whole new setup. Guess we’ll make this Take 2 on Friday?? At least it’ll be a very quick removal and install since the truck dash is still in pieces. Lol

First: customer service (via phone) is excellent. Veronica was awesome.

Second: Physical install was a breeeeeeze. All the harnesses were quick snap, plug n play. Just one wire from one harness needed to be joined to a separate wire on a different harness (all provided btw). I chose to solder, but the kit comes with connectors as well.

    Impressions with the whole system....

    Ugh, where to begin.
First: Can bus/unit would not program the key. (Yep, G key). Key FOB would unlock truck, but not lock...and not start.

This is where the customer service came to play.

    Reseated all connectors. No change

Unplugged and re-plugged all connectors and did a hard reset on the unit. Hey!!! Now we’re getting somewhere!! . Truck locked and started as advertised! (BTW, it didn’t matter if I hit lock 3x or if I held the lock button down for 3 seconds.). Unfortunately, the truck only ran for a few seconds then died.

    It gets more interesting.

I could command it to start again, but all it would do is turn over—-wont run.

I could manually get in and crank the truck, and after 5-6 sec of cranking it would start and run...but when I turned the truck off manually, the truck would continue running. At one point, I literally pulled the key from the ignition and walked away...truck running like a champ!! Lol

I had to hit the lock button FOB 3x to get the truck to quit. Then it wouldn’t start again.

12VS was awesome with troubleshooting, but even their techs were scratching heads yesterday. I have since received no reply, and don’t expect to hear anything until Monday. . In the meantime, I Disconnected the unit (leaving all The harnesses attached) and went about my business per usual...dash panels all torn out, etc etc.

Anyone else having these types of issues?? I figure it has to be either the remote unit ECU or the harness that’s out of whack.

I can attest to the 12 VS customer service. It's great. I also emailed them a couple of times well after their advertised office hours and got responses back within 1/2 hour.
My installation time was really quick also. Their online video was a great help.
I haven't experienced the issues that you mention. The only minor issue that I have is that when I use the 12 VS starter, and then get in my Tundra and put the key in the ignition, the seat and steering wheel don't automatically adjust like when I start my Tundra with the key. This isn't a big issue for me because all I need to do is hit the memory button on the door.
My 2019 CM has the h-key. I always have to hit the button 3 times. The 3-second rule doesn't work for me.

    ****************DO NOT BUY FROM WARMCARNOW.COM****************

I came here to inform everyone about this guy from warmcarnow.com but it seem like he is already treanding here. There is very little or no communication from him about your order. I had to email him to find out about the status of my order then only he replied.
I also had problems with the extended remote that I ordered from him that he sells as a add on package but nope, no help or replies or any support from him. Its been almost a month since I purchased the starter from him and still havent heard from him. I had to call Fortin for assistance.

    Buy at your risk.

I connected the Fortin Evo in my 2014, has anyone added on the phone app device? What one did you use and is it just plug and play?

Interesting, I purchased from warmcarnow through eBay. I received the remote within 4 days and installed it over Thanksgiving. I text a couple of questions to Warmcarnow while installing and received a response within minutes. When I didn't get a chance to respond back to warmcarnow he even called me to make sure it was all working correctly.
