Hi all! I just put a deposit on a 2016 Tundra SR5 with TRD off-road pkg in Sunset Bronze Mica. I have to wait until tomorrow to find out if the vehicle I'm looking to locate got sold today (July 4th). I looked for a Tundra thread on prices paid for new trucks but couldn't find one. I'm a frequent reader on the Tacoma side.

I'm grateful for all the information and picture sharing on this site and on the Tacoma side. I was really looking for this type of community and tips/tricks.

I plan on doing some mods right away and I will post pics of course.

If anyone can point me to a thread about prices paid for their vehicle I'd appreciate it. Thx! -- John

Welcome from South La! You'll love the guys here!
Got my '12 4.6 DC with 20k (it was two years old at the time) for 23k OTD (past owner was an in-truck smoker but with one of those ozone machines, one can of Odo Ban and two mequire's spray fresheners later, it's all gone)

Hey, if you get a good deal used or new, GET IT! Drove my Silverado until the wheels fell off......literally. Had to get a truck ASAP and walked into my current truck, would've liked the newer models but they had JUST come out with the new body style that year and weren't too keen on negotiating much. Couldn't be happier though!

My daughter, her husband & children lived in Danville too but resettled in Chattanooga. They got out 1 year before the housing market collapse in 2007 and were saved from having one of those upside-down mortgages and possible bankruptcy. My wife & I now are in Delaware Township not far from Lambertville. Awesome area. Seems more like Central PA than NJ. Lots of farmers, trucks and motorcycles there.

The Sunset Bronze Mica SR5 could not be located. The dealer offered the same truck in white, but included Toyoguard, Navigation and Weathertechs for the same price. I went for the extended warranty but I have buyer's remorse now, and I'm cancelling it tomorrow. $1800 for 100,000/7 year. Here are 3 pics from the dealership:image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Are you cancelling on the truck or the extended warranty?

The warranty unless someone here can talk me into keeping it. The reason I'm choosing Tundra over say an F150 is reliability, so why should I need the warranty?

I'm the opposite. $1800 bucks pays for a fairly big unlikely repair... I know piece of mind is priceless, but most likely that $1800 will never be used. Whatever makes you happy though. SWEET truck by the way!

Yeah I killed the $1800 warranty tonight, putting it into the truck instead. White was my second choice, couldn't locate the Sunset Bronze. But I'm going to delete chrome, lift and de-badge for starters. Waiting for a quote from @Roman on the obligatory black TRD Pro grill, wrapped with white.

Now I'm gonna feel like a total dick if something goes wrong in a few years. I kind of regret not getting white. It looks good with any accessory and it will continue to look good years down the road.

Another word on TOYOTA extended warranties, I turned down what sounded like the same warranty, 100,000/7years at a price around $1500. When asked why I didn't want it I told them it would be all used up in 3+ years since I put 25,000- 30,000 miles annually on a truck. He then said Toyota had several extended warranties and after reviewing, I ended up buying a 120,000/5 year for about $1200. He also told me they loved it when a customer was near the end of the warranty and they (the dealer) would go over the truck with a fine tooth comb looking for everything and anything they could replace. All Toyota dealers will honor the warranty and it stays with the truck if it's sold early. I put the 1st 20,000 on it in 8 months so I'm right on schedule to drive 30,000 this year.
