I am putting 6112’s in the front (5160s in the rear), and I want to be 100% sure I am doing the right thing before install. A few of you have been SOLID with your advice and I appreciate that. Tires will be 295-70-18, rims I haven’t bought yet but leaning towards SCS.

So I’ll throw this to the masses before I buy them. Please provide any feedback (good and bad) if you did one and wish you did the other or whatever else.

How do you use the truck, will you go with bigger tires in the future, are you adding new springs, will you be adding a bumper or winch?

Mostly concrete warrior. If any offroad it will be power line type stuff. Maybe some snow and the annual beach trip on the sand. Dont plan on doing much else as far as springs and such. No new bumper, no winch, tires will stay at 295s.

If you lift 2.5 then you'll be nose high unless you plan to lift the rear also.

I’d love for @geno0506 to chime in. He went 2.5 and is level.

You will be better at the 1.9 less preload and better ride. Also having a slight rake that is better for TSS and all the sensors

I went 2.5 to come out level. 1.9 had a slight rake that I didn’t like. No issues with TSS so far.

2.5 and do not look back, you won’t regret it! My ride with my setup at 2.5 is perfect! I’m not nose high and I have some #2 CB shackles in the garage if I ever plan to tow or added a camping setup in back!

The hieght or ride has not change since the day I did the install!

If you were able to stop by you could drive it!

    I’m telling you, it’s primo!

I’m my opinion 3/1 is perfectly level. So I think 2.5 will leave you slightly nose high. Here’s a pick of my truck on a 3/1 and it’s pretty level. I actually measured the other day and the back is .5 inches lower. 7499934B-B283-4C70-BCA4-0487828565E3.jpg

I highly recommend it great kit for the cost. I use to run kings on my Tacoma and although this doesn’t compare I’m very happy with the ride quality.

I am stuck between getting this leveling kit OR the Bilstein 6112/5160 upgrade.

I’ve never run that set up, but I think you’ll be happy either way, if you want a full 3 inches go Toytec if you want a smaller lift I’d go with the Bilstein. Both are great companies!

I’ve measured mine and it’s pretty level with maybe a hair upfront and I f I sit on a level lot you can not see anything but level at 2.5, maybe it settled a bit!

I don’t have too many to compare but the first picture is at 1.9 and the last two are at 2.5

    2D5A73C7-6ECA-496D-A039-2D790B713C23.jpg

I’ve heard some trucks will be at different heights at the same setting. Mine measured exactly 24.5 inches hub to wheel well at front and rear at 2.5

I vote 2.5” but you should do a small shackle in the rear. 1.9 if your not touching the rear.

Why a small shackle? I planned on just upgrading to 5160’s in the rear.

No sir. Btw I see you’re considering 295/70/18
I went with the same but in a 285. I did have to remove the front mud flaps and modify the rear ones to eliminate rubbing. Your 295 may be worse depending on your lift height and wheel offset. Just something else for you to consider..

If you do a big shackle then you will have too much rake. I say .75” of lift would give you a very slight rake. I’m at 3/1.75 and I have a slight rake. I like it. So when I load it up it’s not nose high.

Thanks man. Amazes me how the same truck could have different results. @geno0506 didn’t have many issues with 295s so i am hoping and praying i have the same luck.

When you say “load it up”, are you saying “load it up” like a trip to the beach with the family and stuff in the back, or “load it up” with stacks of plywood and drywall?
