I have been trying to find reviews on the maxtrac 6 inch no cut lift and can find none. My question is does this leave my front driveshaft at a bad angle without cutting the rear cross member or do they have that figured out?

Maxtrac has a 6" no cut lift but is for 2WD only, as it uses the spindles for lift. This will not work on 4WD truck.

I think they're relatively new is why there are no reviews

Is the front driveshaft on that in a bad angle or is it ok?

It's ok, I have triple checked this kit even checked the instructions, it shows to cut both ends of the RCM, but it's not, called RC they told me it's a older version

I'm curious too, I know rough country revamped their lift kits due to bad CV angles and problems. That's why all their new kits have to cut the frame to drop the front diff.

Where do we see the differences between old and new versions because I checked the rough country website and didn’t see them cutting it

There’s a reason RC stopped doing this. Anytime you’re going that high you need relieve those front angles. Only way to do this is cut the crossmember, there’s no way around that.

Can you post some details/pics on how they effectively achieved the lift without cutting the crossmember? How do you like it?

as far as the lift it's an incoil spacer and a top plate spacer, and the crossmember wasn't cut for the differential drop, so yea cv angles aren't amazing, but hopefully it'll be fine in the long run, i'm never offroad, i love the lift, but as much as I would love any other lift just because i'm sitting high and love the look. rides fine imo, again i'm never offroad,

i think it rides like stock, but i'm only on pavement, there was maybe about 1 inch off the lower part of the cam tabs that I had to trim because there was a bend it in for the subframe to fit, but it was anticipated and in the instructions

    Great pics thanks!

That does look any worse than some of the 3” coil lift and spacer cv angles from what I can tell by the pics. Not bad!

    Any backspacing wheel requirements?

Would other 6” coils work instead of the spacers?

I'm running the stock 20'' limited wheels, and plenty of space from the wheel to spindle, i'm pretty sure i'll clear 35's, i'll update next week, and i don't see why any other coilovers wouldn't work? same idea, just prob better ride

Was exactly my thought as well. Stock offsets will probably give you the least headache. Keep us posted. Loving your build so far

Can you send a pic or two of the crossmember and skid plate that the site shows comes with the kit? Thanks.

Yeah those angles look the same as my 3/2 lift. Wonder if a regular diff drop was installed, if not, maybe help the angles even more

I didn’t install the skid plate yet but it’s def thicker and heavier than stock, the diff mounts were removed and bolted to the new subframe
