Little green light that shows what gear you are in. All gears (P, R, N...) have a light when I've selected the corresponding gear, except the "D". Is this normal?
Looking at possibly taking instrument cluster apart and checking bulbs...

I was wondering the same thing. My 03 sequoia, the D does not light up. I figured the light was just out because it’s in that position the most often.

The "D" gear lights green on my 2006 Tundra DC. I think your bulb might be dead. Hope this helps.

Interesting. Is that to match your interior lighting?

I assume it’s just a light but under the letters is a clear color tape. Hmm

Post pics of repair. My ‘D’ is out also. Sounds like they should all be replaced at the same time if the panel comes off. Would be nice to change color!

It's just a bulb for each gear selection. If memory serves a NEO4. I just moved the bulb from 1 to the D position.

The instrument cluster is pretty easy to remove 6 or so screws all together.

Heading to ER with broken D. Expect to have a cast mounted and rest it in a sling.
    Thanks for the bulb info.

Wonder if these will hyper blink?

Already have two led bulbs in my cargo light. Added the 3rd brake led bulb and turn signals went hyper flash. Ended up taking the brake bulb back out and reinstalled regular.

They shouldn't. Try a different brand of LED in your brake lights, I've got no issues with hyper flash with no resistors. I can't remember off hand if they were the Phillips or Sylvania, I gave up with the cheap bulbs after a bunch of issues.

Yeah cheap bulbs off Amazon eventually stop. I bought all new sylvania I think from auto zone. 10$ a piece. It’s lake is a operating room inside the truck at night lol I laugh every time I turn them on bc they’re too bright and I’d rather laugh then get mad

How much of the dash did you have to remove to get to it? In my first gen tacos I had to remove the stereo surround, the piece under it and the ash tray, the steering collumn and bottom of dash to get to the gauges

Pretty much just the cluster surround. It's flexible enough to get out with out removing anything else. It'll take you longer to unplug the connectors from the cluster than anything else.
