    Anyone out there running 35x12.5R20 with a 3-1 kit with or without skid plate? like I've stated soooo many times before I have a rough country 4.5 kit I don't like it...truck came that way from dealer bought truck used jus want some input from Tundra World owners '14+ I wana lower cause I had a '13 with same tires...tires rubbed oem skid plate a bit but I removed also any diff on '13 to '14 front end?

    Oh one or two.
    35x12.50's maybe a 1.5" lift in the front and no skid at the moment.

    Is the crossmember cut out with the 4.5" lift as well? If so it will be hard to revert to a 3".

    It's the entire kit from rough country look it up 4.5" 2 cross members front and rear diff drop kit blocks for rear spacers over coils larger knuckles skid plate jus don't like CV axle angels...when I had the 2013 it had same tires 35*12.50r20 with a 3-1 with oem skid plate n tires rubbed a bit on plate ...so this '14 I have has the 4.5 kit turning radius decreased just too high bout truck used n came with this kit think i wana do 3-1

    I called the outfitter store that put kit on they said I would need to buy the oem knuckles and oem cross members too if I do a 3-1

    Oh one or two.
    I didn't think you could buy an oem crossmember. It's cut out when doing a drop bracket lift.

    Pretty sure unless you know a shop that does them all the time that can take thier time cutting one out so it can be welded back into your truck.

    No mention of cutting the front cross-member. Take a look underneath your truck at the front crossmember. See if the stock one is cut at all.

    I am going to say that it is not cut. So lets see what would need to be replaced:

    I'm thinking if you get a complete 3/1 kit all you would need to replace would be the spindles. You should be able to find a set of used ones from others that go to a 4"+ lift.
    You should get new seals. I didnt fully read through it but you may also need some hardware if it was replaced with something provided with the kit.

    Since we are on the topic of 3/1 lifts, have you made a decision of which you are going to go with? Budget?

    Also looked carefully under front end looks like no cuts made to cross members I jus need original knuckles n seals
