Fender liner trimming thread?

I have searched and found a couple of pictures here and there just didn’t know if you guys could point me in a better direction. If not what’s the best practice to get clearance?

 

I used CB bumper shims for the front. Going to have to do BMC for the cab side.

Following as I need to do a little trimming on the front after 35’s, but hoping there’s a more cost effective way than $85.

 

Front or rear of front tire?

 

If I take a heat gun to my front fender liner (run 275/70/18 and have minor rubbing in reverse turn) and probably need 5-6 mm of clearance. Likelihood it turns horrible?

 

you remove the bumper and add these shims to the mount to push the bumper .5" forward.

The pictures can be confusing until you actually take the liner out and have something to compare to. Once I removed mine the pictures made much more sense and it didn't take long at all.
