Wheels, tires and lift for 2018 TundraTRD Off-Road

I just purchased a 2018 Tundra TRD Off Road. I’m looking to get new wheels and larger tires (maybe 33”). Also looking to lift it a bit. Not looking for anything crazy, but would like to beef it up a bit. I will be going off road a bit and will be in the snow a lot. What size tires can I put in there now without a lift or modification? Any suggestions? Leveling kit vs suspension vs body lift?

That’s such a loaded question... That thread above will answer your tire questions... it’s all gonna depend on the wheels you go with (width and offset) will determine how tall and wide of a tire you can go with. the cab mount gets in the way of most tires bigger than 33’s some people get lucky with the right offset and tire width and are able to sneak bigger than 33’s with minimal rubbing... but that’s usually not the case. As far as suspension, that’s a personal preference... going for looks or function? Everyone is gonna have a different answer for you. If you dig around a bit you’ll find numerous threads on all of this.

 

Do it once do it right. Go Bilsteins, Toytec, or something similar + 35’s IMO. That’s what I did

 

No lift but 275/70/18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on SCS Ray 10s +25 offset(stock height)

 

You know the saying "buy once, cry once" dont go cheap. If you go cheap and spend enough time on this forum you will end up spending more in the long run

 

Bilstein 6112s up front set at 1.9" will level it and improve the offroad ride and handling on road...especially cornering. Roughly $650-$700 in parts and $300-$400 in labor if you pay a shop including alignment which will be needed. 275/70/18 tire seems like a decent size increase without killing acceleration, braking and further damaging fuel economy. For rims find something in the +20 - +30 offset seems to be popular. Dont want negative offset it seems. Stock wheels offset is +60. Lower offset you go, the more wheels will stick out from fender.
