So, I have been wanting to put something under my headlights on that panel that just seems bland. Found some DLR/Turn lights that look like they will work well, link below. But, I need some help. Does anyone know of a way to have the DLR on in white, then it turn off when the turn signal is on and have the amber blink with the signal? I realized this may not work after buying it b/c the DLR is integrated in the signal. Any help will be great!

    Cheers!

There should be three wires off of these leds switchbacks. Yellow wire for should connect to the turn signal power wire. White wire should connect to your drl or headlight power wire. Black wire is the ground wire. That’s should be about all you have to do for wiring.

Right. And, thanks for the reply!

My question is more whether the DLR actually turns off when the turn is triggered, or, is it just not "on" b/c it's the turn signal. There are 3 wires coming out of the turn signal bulb housing, but, wasn't sure if someone could point me to which was turn and which was DLR on my 09.

There are videos of the led light you posted on the Amazon reviews link. The drls turn off when the turn signal is engaged.

So I just put a tester on the 3 wires going into the turn signal on the truck. The white/black is ground, the red is turn and blinks and is constant for the DLR. The purple never seemed to light anything up. I was hoping the DLR would be one of the 2 wires and the blink would be the other. Seems to not be the case. I believe the kit I purchased assumes there are 2 different wires for DLR and turn. I just don't want it to light up as white and amber when the turn light is on. Looking for other options for this mod to be wired properly. Thanks.

Did you ever resolve your wiring issue? I am interested to find out what you ended up doing.
I would like to add some sort of LED DRL and possibly a turn signal to my 2011 as well.
Looking forward to seeing where you mount and how you mount as well. Keep us posted.

Good to know. If I ever get anything figured out, I will post pics and a write up.
