    Hello all,

I made a mistake and looked at @18TRDSport new Sequoia Sport post! It is a sexy beast and I got to looking around and found a new 2018 Sequoia Sport 4x4 with no additional options added for MSRP $59,545.00 Total Internet Savings $6,628.00 for $52,917.00!

I was curious and told the dealer I would only buy it for $50,000 just to see, he said no but if anything changes he would let me know!

I saw a posted thread here a couple weeks back and the member here got and amazing $10,000 off a new tundra. He spoke of the way he got them down and I cant find the post!

    Any one remember that member!

Any way what do you all think!

I sat in one a few days ago while waiting for an oil change. Other than sweeet headlights the interior is outdated as hell. Id wait for a new refresh of the interior for that kind of price.

Thanks, I was thinking the refresh but would hate it if they took away the 5.7 and made it more compact!

I will be interested to hear if you have success getting 10K off the Sequoia. Getting toward the end of the month.

Same here. We have a 2012 Sequoia that we love. We sat in a new model a few months ago, and it was exactly the same. They are at 11 years now with no update on them. It’s a great vehicle, but it’s very dated inside.
I spoke with a few dealership guys, one of them on here, and they all say there is no update coming any time soon. They apparently just don’t sell enough of them to invest any money into them. That stinks, because it’s an outstanding vehicle.
That said, the 52k price isn’t bad. We paid 50 for a limited seven years ago.

hmmmm, Wife was dead set on the 4Runner Pro....until we realized the kids are keep growing, both are on track to be well over 6 foot and the back seat space is already at a premium.

She just mentioned today the Sequoia and low and behold I see this thread, the TRD may be a good option now...time to go take a looky. I don't like the price though............

Edit...I do miss the V8 Touareg we had, we should never have sold that thing, it would go ANYWHERE. But only got 12mpg.

you can find used sequoias for a good price on craigslist. since not much changed you could score a nice project SUV for not so much.

when we talk about the wife's rig, "Project" doesn't even come into the discussion, it's turn key only. If it's a "project" then I'm going for a double cab Dodge sweptline with a 5.9 cummins conversion......

Over a month ago I was inquiring about a 2018 TRD Sequoia and they quoted this, MSRP $59,545.00 Total Internet Savings $6,628.00 for $52,917.00!

He emailed me yesterday and said they still have it and they could do it for $49,000!

We're playing the waiting game on a 2018. They aren't selling and 2019's are arriving now. They will drop more.

Looking go pick one of these up soon to replace my wife's 2010 4runner. It fits the bill of what we want/need (big, v8, 4wd ect..). We are looking at the 19s due to her payment plan from work so I cant see us getting any $$$ off but I'll try.
I'm going to try and find a set of trd forged 22s to toss on it, I think that will make it look much better. I like all the trd goodies it comes with and the fact that the second row is captains chairs.
Looking forward to having 2 5.7s in the driveway!

Yes but thinking if I trade I'de miss the Tundra, though the Sequoia is on the Tundra platform! Any one know the difference from the 2018 to the newer 2019 Sequoia, if any!

Don’t be expecting the same power in that Sequoia though. Not even close. We absolutely love the Sequoia we have, but it doesn’t have half the pickup a Tundra does.

Very sweet ride though. I’d buy another Sequoia in a heartbeat.

I got the TRD sport sequoia in December...I love it. Love it more than my several tundras I had actually.
49k is a hell of a deal..is that with the premium package that adds leather??????

Why is that? Same power plant, close to the same weight ect...
Both engines have the 381 hp. The main difference is the sequoia weighs about 400lbs more but I can't see that making it feel like half the power. I guess we'll see

We are looking at a new 2019 trd sport edition with black leather and the price I got was 52k. Doesn't seem like a bad deal. Yeah the limited and platinum have a few extra fancy things but I really wanted black leather and I like the captains chairs in the second row (things only available on the sport editions). To me it resembles my PRO, which I love.
I plan on a set of forged trd 22s with a nice all terrain tire and the truck will be ready to go. Fingers crossed it all comes together

I honestly don’t know. Maybe it’s geared differently? It is a lot slower on acceleration than the Tundra is. Even my 2017 Tundra has a good bit less pep than my 2011 Tundra does.
Still a great vehicle though. I just wish they’d update it. The Sequoia hasn’t had any real changes since 2007.

As long as it moves better than the 4.0 4runner its replacing. That thing is dangerously slow.
While I agree an update would be nice, I think the sequoia is fine. It's got everything we need and not a lot of gadgets we don't that will eventually break down the road. I'll change the wheels and tires and add some amp power steps and it should be set for our wants and needs
