Now that official pics are out, the 2019 TRD Pro grille actually has a rectangular gap, you can't really leave it open if you don't have TSS. If you do have TSS, @ARES is making great brackets and covers either way.

Since I don't have TSS, I've been thinking of getting his cover or a hack, and it doesn't seem as clean as a 2018 grille with a Toyota emblem. Was looking forward to the new Pro grille, but I think I'm leaning towards the 2018 for an updated look instead.

After seeing a pic of the oem center trim piece from eBay I decided to try replicating the design using vinyl. I used scrap vinyl I had around the house and the design is not to scale, but not too bad for a first attempt.

I was going to go the vinyl route but I figured molded opaque plastic was a better fit

Tough call, to the untrained eye, it looks like an afterthought. We Tundra owners know it's for TSS.

Nice job thomasbus337! @ARES, will you be making a black plastic version that blends in with the rest of the grille for those that just need a cover?

Looks Awesome. Is this the same piece or will there be a different version for us 14-17 non TSS adopters?

Theres a lot more going on with this beauty then meets the eye. Having tested vigorously in extreme rain storms thanks the hurricane Florences approach. Will upload a video later today.

Alot of hardwork, long hours and no sleep went into getting this perfect. So please enjoy and let me know if you have any questions.

Non-TSS radars matching honeycomb will be exact depth replicating rest of grille. Photos soon

    Thank you for your support

I like my honeycomb grill, I just wish the T emblem was black or MGM matched instead of chrome. Not sure if it's even possible to get the plastic cover off to paint it or not.

Ok, I have an 18 so do I need a TSS relocation bracket? I’m installing a factory 19 TRD Pro grille.

No, it attaches to the PRO grille. You do need the cover though.

Ahhh ok, from the homework I did I was under the impression the 18 needed a relocation bracket.

I've been trying to figure out the best way to upgrade my limited from the chrome front end to either the platinum or pro front end too... I know if new the new emblem with the platinum, but I'm not sure what I need if I go with the pro

Love my sport honeycomb grille. I don’t like the “Toyota” across the front. Just not my thing.

It’s neither an obsession or love affair with me, I just prefer to have Toyota spelled out on the grill instead of that weird looking “T”. To each his own.
