Went to a shop yesterday to get a quote on a lift and wheel/tire combo and would like y'alls feedback on what they recommended.

FYI, I only have 6.5" of height to play with and it'll be on the road probably 90% of the time. When I do go off-roading the place I like to go is really rocky. ABS protectors are OTW and sliders and skid plates will be added as well (looking at either the RCI steel or BudBuilt stage 3 rock armor stainless steel).

Finally, the other issue I'm looking to solve is I have the Bushwacker fender flares and they have basically swallowed up my current 20" wheel/tire combo making the stance look a little anemic. I'm wanting to correct that and make the stance look right. I'm hoping with the essentially 0 offset and a wider tire will do that.

Trying to figure out how much I'm going to push things out as well. I think I'm at a +25 offset currently. If I go from a 285 to a 305 tire and from a +25 to a +1 offset wheel does that mean I'm pushing things out 34mm?

I looked at their kits. Most are more than I want to spend, but that 3" might work.

Well, sent an email to @Toytec Lifts late Saturday night, but no reply yet of any kind. Kinda surprised about that. Heard back from Bilstein tho and at least they're working on it. Still waiting to hear back from ReadyLift as well.

@Sas Im happy with SPC uca’s. Great adjustability and heavy duty. Along with the greasable ball joints which is a must for my climate. They work well with a 3.5” lift like mine.

I was going to do an entry level lift and saved a bit longer for old man emu. Glad I waited. Just saying. But I do Wheel like I stole it.

I want my lift to last longer than the truck. And it’s a Toyota so...

Wheels will look awesome for sure

Let’s see a pic of your truck currently

I actually inquired about a complete system from them, including taking the tires up to 325/65R18. Sent in a lot of details about it, so it may just be taking a while to process. I plan on doing some pretty fun off-roading as well so I may wait as well and do a more robust system.

My profile pic is how it sits currently with the exception of the debris shield I put on a couple of hours ago. There are a ton of other pics in my albums as well if you're interested. Most of the work has been on the interior lately.

Do it right the first time. Don’t waste money on a budget setup because you will always want bigger and better, trust me. Save up and buy the components you don’t think you need because you’ll eventually want them down the road.

I think the truck will look good when finished! If you plan to off road the truck, I would definitely save a little more and get a better lift setup. Take a look at the Toytec/Eibach lift. It's roughly $850, plus you get a discount for being a forum member, but it's a 3/1 coilover lift. Comes with new struts and springs already assembled as well as the rear lift. Only downside is it does not include UCA's. Zone offroad has some pretty beefy UCA's as well you could look at.

I went the budget route the first time, which has served my needs well, I don't take the truck offroad or anything like that. I'm hoping these stock shocks last until my next set of tires (I just got some, so another 45k+) and I plan to replace the shocks. When I do, I will most likely go with one of the lifted struts or Eibachs. By that point, my truck will have roughly 180k miles on it and I figure the shocks could use replacing. I did a 2" spacer and my truck has definitely settled some on the front end, which is why I was thinking of getting the new springs as well.

Good advice gents. Sounds like I'm going to wait a bit and spring for the better setup.

Smart! I can never understand why someone would want to throw on a $500 lift on a 40k - 50k truck only to make the ride worse and not functional.

Buy once, cry once. Your truck will look and ride great!

Apparently the TSS wheels I have are +50 offset and are 20x9. Can anyone verify?
