Ok so does anyone know how to hardware a usb accessory or would it be better to run the plug up into my center console and plug into my new dualC3A9BA56-0C7B-4157-8D9F-13E35E49A764.jpg plug?

On the first page of the thread, I linke another thread on hardwiring and installing a usb outlet. but note, charge time will be slowing unless you use the fast charge capable usb power port.

Damn maybe I'll just order one. I have one under the consol but it charges sporadically so I'd like something more reliable.
    Thanks!!

Hmm, kinda sounds like a charger issue, what are you using for power source? And did you split the case to expose the coils or just mount it up?

I just tried using this charger and it doesn't work. I will take it apart to expose the coils to see if that helps. I'm also mounting it by the gear selector.

First attempt. Clean install, charger didn't work even with exposing the one coil. This was the armrest version. However I didn't want my phone flying when the wife or kids open it up. SO I installed it down by the gear selector.

Second attempt. Cheotech charger mounted by the gear selector. Exposed the three coils and it works.

It's all supposed to be here tomorrow... let's see how it goes. I wish Samsung made a fast charger with 3 coils so I could use that instead of an off brand cheapie from Amazon but you can't have everything

How did you guys make the charger work thru the plastic of the middle console? I did everything, as it shows in the post and purchased the same wireless charger, but it will not charge thru the plastic console.

Did you take the charger out of its case and only mount the circuit board? If yes and you know its working the only other thing i think would be the size of your case. I have a pretty thin case on mine and it works fine

I cut the grid structure from underneath the console pocket and sanded it flat with a da sander. I then removed the the top half of the charger exposing the coils and used gorilla take to mount it. I have a thin spigen cover on my s9+ and it charges great.

I think the key is to minimize what you have between the phone and charger.

Yes, I did cut the ribs off the back of the console, took the top off of the charger, the cable is good the charger is good, I took the case off of my IPhone X and it will not charge. If I place the phone with the case directly on the charger, it charges fine. But it will not charge thru the console.

Middle console, right under the lid. I even took the case off of the iphone and it is still not charging. The charger only has one round coil, when I opened it up, so maybe that is the issue, it doesn’t have the three coils like the pictures posted at the beginning of this post. Perhaps it is not strong enough to work thru the thick plastic of the middle console lid. Any suggestions? I ended up place it in on top of the lid in the little opening there and ran the cable from inside the middle console thru a small hole I drilled and it works fine this way, even with the iphone case on the phone.

Yea that sounds like your issue, I tried he 1 coil first, and had issues, switched to the 3 coil chargers and have no issues.

yes, as long as you use a fast charge usb like i have listed, i use it with mine. Wireless fast charge is of course still slower than regular but this will still be fast than a regular usb plug.

I'm thinking of getting the iPhone XS max and then doing this. Does anyone know if that phone will fit in the center armrest part? Don't want to get it and find out it doesn't
