Love the cap.. but the windoors have been letting in water.. it's going back to century and they will fix..we'll see.. the water is enough to wet the cloth along the rail of the truck.. nothing crazy its dries the next day but want it to be water tight or at least closer to water tight.. the cap functionally is great.. windoors are so good for the beach when the kids are hanging back there and the dog.. nice and easy to grab stuff as well that's deeper in the bed.. I got the removable slider front window as well. Works well with the roll down tundra rear window.. I take it out and leave it out when I know it will be nice for a couple days.. good looking cap color match was pretty perfect too

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. I just placed an order for the Leer 100XR (pretty much the same as the Ultra Sport) with the fold down front slider and Thule racks. I debated for a while over the windoors, but I've been reading a lot about them leaking (including from you), and I figured with the short bed I wouldn't absolutely need them. The equivalent Century Ultra Sport would have been about $200 cheaper, but the Leer dealer is about 5 min from my house and they seemed a lot more knowledgeable and interested in helping me out, so I went with them.

Bought mine May 2019, passenger side slider exploded the first time I went to open, paid $150 to fix as Leer will not cover glass under warranty. Today, I went to close the side slides after having the dogs and BAM! Damn thing exploded again! Called leer and the day they’ve never heard of one exploding. Suffice to say I’m not replacing the glass again and am looking at options. May put in .190 aluminum. Any ideas

That's really weird. I've had 5 Leers over the years and have never had any issues, especially something like that. I get Leer's policy on glass, but it seems like any good dealer would help you out on this. Sorry and good luck!

Lil fyi. All the cap companies use the same window distributor.. this is what my dealer informed me of.. he's dealt with both a r.e and century

Hmmmmm you wouldn't have the websites for these two window suppliers would you? I found a Century distributor site and they do offer all the hardware but no glass.

I highly recommend LEER, they recently replaced the 122 I purchased 16 years ago with a brand new 100R at no charge under their lifetime warranty. The fiberglass on the 122 had started cracking, and the window seals were starting to leak.

I'm on the market for the bed cap myself for my TRD Off-Road Premium CrewMax. After reading this thread and pages and pages on this one: https://www.tundras.com/threads/lets-see-your-caps.16054/, I'm kind of tossed between LEER 100XR and ARE CX Classic. Looks like ARE ($2'597) is about $200 more then LEER ($2'395).
What would be the better choice between those 2? I'm looking for good quality shell with most cleaned lines on the bed and aesthetic appearance on the White CrewMax both side-wise and rear window. Unfortunately I don't have a dealer which deals with both manufactures, but I was told by one of the local dealers that as White color is very bright, so the cap should be very clean lines to be harmoniously fit into the overall vehicle appearance.
