ok. So after someone brought this up in another post I double checked my lights and now both marker/drl/blinker whatever you want to call it is burning, bubbling and melting...

Not sure how well you can see in photos:

There is a factory bulb in one and a replacement for factory in the other... is this something I can bug Toyota about under a 120k mike warranty???

(I tried searching but yielded 0 results)

Just replace the bulbs until you get new headlights. Toyota is not going to warranty new lights.

But... even if I replace the headlights they are going to just keep melting. And to be clear the bulbs are working fine, just the plastic headlight cover is melting...I guess I just don’t understand why it is happening, never noticed it in any other vehicle I have owned...

    Also, is this common?

Nah it was happening before that bulb got replaced. Just annoying because I wasn’t planning on replacing headlight assembly on this truck but it looks like total shit.

Not sure if your issue is similar to mine. I have a '15 and recently had to replace the original OEM front turn signal bulbs. I noticed the right bulb housing socket looked slightly burnt. Made me wonder if there's some kind of heat issue going on with these bulbs. If so, it could be a fire hazard.

Here's a video showing discoloration and slight charring of turn signal housing on a Tacoma due to excessive heat:

Looks like there's a TSB for those Tacomas for that issue. Also interesting to see the videomaker's solution of using a slightly different bulb.

    Thank you.

It just seemed crazy to me that my stock lights were melting.(can’t get a good picture but mine have a lot of actual burnt ‘drippings’ all on the indside) My dad has an 08 and he does not have this issue. (Nor do many others I would think by lack of responses)

I did end up replacing the headlights as @T-Rex266 suggested. And I am quite happy with the upgrade.

One missing ingredient to the bulb replacement is the addition of a conductive lubricant. He can usually get this in a tiny squeeze pack like a ketchup packet at the parts counter of your local auto parts store. Not only will this help make a better conductive path for the electricity it will also reduce the heat since there won't be as much resistance in that connection. Use this on all your electrical connectors and I'm sure they'll last a lot longer.

My 1st gen tundra had the same thing happen but it was the bed lights. For some reason they stayed on (maybe I pushed the button without realizing it?) for a long period of time and melted the plastic lens. I'm wondering if for some reason your bulb was bad. Since it has to filaments in it, one for running lights (lower wattage) and one for turn signal (higher wattage) it's possible the higher wattage, or both lower and higher wattage were on when only the lower wattage was suppose to be on. This would produce lots of extra heat that the engineers never counted on. After all the turn signal when on is only on half the time.
