Which one? The P228, P239, EMP, G19, and G26 are only chambered in 9mm. My 226 is 9mm. P220 and G36 are only chambered in .45.

I don't have anything chambered in .40. For the most part I like to stick to only NATO round firearms. The exception is my P238 and G20. I got those for a specific purpose. 238 is my t-shirt gun and the G20 is my bear side-arm.

I was meaning the EMP. If I wouldn't of gotten a good deal on the XDS I would've saved up for a subcompact 1911. I'm more a fan of big bullets, so I've never owned a 9mm.

Quite a collection. If I had $2500 sitting around I'd buy a SCAR in a heartbeat. Especially a .308 one.

Interesting. Hopefully I'll be able to find some new people and a new place to shoot, moving down to Burlington this weekend.

Yeah, drive 15 miles and you're in Kans-ass lol. Unfortunately I couldn't find a job up near Greeley or here in Fort Morgan, but this job down in Burlington is a really good opportunity. Be able to get my CCA and Commercial Applicators License and the company will pay for it.

Couple weeks ago. I just have been more busy than a three peckard billy goat lately. I need to get some more bulk ammo and go shred some stuff up.

One factor is how it feels in your hand. Pick up a glock and then the Sig. Then pick up a Walther PPQ and the HK VP9. I was in the same situation you are in. I bought the HK cuz it just felt great in its balance as well as ergonomics. Also, you need to go to the range and rent the firearms you're interested in cuz there is nothing like shooting it :)

I'm still thinking about picking up the Walther PPQ cuz its trigger is one of the best. PPQ vs HK Triggers - Walther PPQ has more take up and one of the best, shorter resets. HK has shorter take up and slightly longer reset.

No not on any board, this is my old service weapon that I bought after getting issued a new Sig. I had it Cerakoted and put my name and badge number on it to pass down to my three year old son someday.

I have owned some Sig's in my day, still do. Great weapons that I would rely on any day of the week. Never have had one fail. My old 226 was just heavy when attempting to carry concealed. These weapons are so accurate.

On the flip side, I have owned Glocks in the past. .45/40/10mm. Great pistols that never failed either....ever. As of lately I have been wanting a better all around carry weapon. My 1911 was just not working for me. Heavy, big and cocked and locked was not working for me...and having 8 round mags suck.

So now, it is the G19 G4 every day, all day. Glocks still do not feel good in my hand, but I shoot them pretty damn good. On the flip side, my 1911 feels great in my hand and I am not as accurate with it as I am my G19.

Guess I would rather have the more accurate pistol "I" shoot on my waistband. Time to sell the 1911. No reason to have a safe queen. The next time the wife and I have a date day and go shooting, I'm willing to bet she adopts to the G19 and says goodbye to her Sig 938 as well.

Alot of great advice given by members of the forum and not much I could really add. I'll just say for me I'd vote Sig Sauer. Here's a quarter of my Sig collection ....

And just to show I don't only buy Sigs ...

    Here's my S&W 9 shield, Glock G27, HK VP9

Had a bunch of Kimbers, from a 5" Custom to a Stainless Gold Combat, and a lot in between. They're okay. For my money, though, I'd go with a Sig 1911 over almost any other mfr.

Hmm, seems most here prefer Glocks. I am looking into a concealed carry gun since my VP9 is on the bigger side. I think I'm sold on the Sig P238. Seems to be smaller than a glock and easier to conceal than most other pistols. I also like the fact that it has an actual safety in case I let my girlfriend or someone less experienced handle it. Anyone have one of these?
